Renee

 After dropping Lucia off she got a text from her mum asking where she was, that they needed to have a family meeting. She was in a good mood after seeing her friends make up, it was so beautiful and she loved that she took part in it so she was  sure whatever her mum had to say to her wouldn't affect her mood.
 She walked into the house and saw Carmen seated next to her dad, her mum sat beside Miranda on another couch, which was a bit confusing because it was supposed to be a family meeting. 
 "What is going on?" Renee sat next to Carmen confused 
 "Okay so Renee is finally here and we can start" Carla looked anxious, Renee noticed Miranda did as well. Miranda whispered something into her ears and Carla nodded and smiled.
 "I have some news, it's neither good nor bad but I hope you can understand that this is what I want for myself" as she said this carmen looked at Renee and Renee looked at Antonio in confusion 
 "I want to be with Miranda"
 "okay , but you're with Miranda" Carmen replied in confusion
 "No like be be with Miranda"
 "You're literally sitting next to her mum"
 "What your mother is trying to say is we're in love" Miranda just spat it out. Renee turned to look at her father, but he didn't look surprised or astonished, he seemed to be happy for her, Carmen looked confused but Renee was angry.
 "Excuse me" Renee looked at her mum, wanted answers "what did you say"
 "Are you hard of hearing?" Carla asked her 
 "No mum, I heard what Miranda said" she said sarcastically "but I would like you to repeat it for me"
 Carla sighed heavily before speaking "I'm in love with Miranda"
 "And she has since we were kids" Antonio finally spoke up
 "You knew?" Carla and Miranda looked puzzled
 "We were best friends" Antonio laughed "everyone obviously knew" Renee had forgotten how easy going her dad was.
 "So you're okay with it?" Renee asked angrily 
 "The truth is what your mother and I have is far from anything she and Miranda obviously have"
 "But you guys are in love"  Carmen was so puzzled
 "No darling, I love your father but I'm in love with Miranda" Carla looked at Miranda like that was the most amazing work of art she had ever seen. Renee could care less who her mother was sleeping with and Carmen was extremely naïve to her because growing up she always knew that her parents operated as friends rather than as lovers. They never had sex, they never even slept in the same room, for some random reason they always had a plan on how to raise them, nothing was ever spontaneous with them. 
 Carmen always spoke about the day they got adopted, she always pointed out how she saw two people in love that wanted children to love but Renee could never see her parents that way, so she didn't care that her parents weren't going to be together, her anger was much bigger than that.
 "So you mean to tell me that you gave me a hard time about being who I really am when this whole time you've been sleeping with a woman!" Renee snapped angrily, she watched her mothers face turn red out of embarrassment
 "We're sorry that we-" Miranda tried to apologise but Renee cut her off
 "No thank you Miranda, as much as I love the idea of having a third parent I wouldn't even let my father interfere in this one" Antonio and Carmen quietly sat back as she replied her
