Asphodel - a plant of the lily family that grows in the fields of the  Underworld, typically having long slender leaves and white flowers borne on a spike
Yama - the Buddhist deity of death/the Underworld
Tran - a surname of Vietnamese origin meaning old, ancient

Note: a lot of the reference photos I've used and such depict a specific body type, but besides being short and muscular, Ash's build is completely up to interpretation. She could be a teacup fairy or thicc mama or anything in between and beyond, whatever floats your boat ;)

EDIT: There seems to be a little confusion about her "sixth sense"--essentially yes, she can tell when someone is going to die. HOWEVER the numbers are subject to change, sometimes at the last second. It is also important to note she kept these abilities largely repressed until the start of BOTL.

Fun Facts:
- Ash is left-handed, another historical bad omen
- Her favorite color is green, although she has a thing for red, cherry-flavored sweets kind of like Percy and his blue food
- She was raised Buddhist and firmly believes the deities of the Vietnamese folk religion her mother taught her exist somewhere out there
- Ash thinks scars are attractive on others (especially her boyfriend) but hates her own. Don't worry though, Percy's working on it
- She's never explicitly labeled herself, but Ash is pansexual
- Because she is unable to feel pain, Ash is more susceptible to the effects of poison, cognitive impairment, and fatigue when injured as she doesn't have physical sensations to focus on. Can get pretty loopy sometimes
- Ash is the baby of the friend group, almost a year younger than Annabeth. If she was in school she'd most likely be in the grade below
- When she was a kid, Ash had a stutter, probably both because of the jumble of languages she grew up on and because there was a period of time where she didn't speak at all. It still comes out sometimes in high-pressure situations
- Ash was claimed the moment she passed through camp's borders, but she was too busy running for her life and crying about Thalia to notice. Luke and Annabeth certainly did, however, and neither of them would ever tell her, but in that moment, when the shadow of Death appeared around her and her wings unfurled for the first time behind her, both of them genuinely thought it might be their time to go
- You may have noticed that Ash receives special treatment from an unusually high number of gods, especially considering most of them have their own children, like Apollo, Dionysus, and Demeter. However, this has more to do with their immortal egos than Ash's own prowess, although that is part of it too. The gods love an underdog (as long as they're on their side), and Ash is the underest of dogs Olympus has had in a while, so they're all hopping on that wagon for the glory before she dies or turns on them, as most half-bloods tend to do
ADDITIONS:
- Ash is technically a polyglot, but she doesn't have complete fluency in most of the languages she speaks. She knows Greek, English, and Latin (thanks Chiron🙄), some Vietnamese from her childhood, and has picked up rudimentary Spanish, French, and Japanese from friends at camp
- Contrary to what you might expect for a death kid, Ash has abnormally good circulation so her hands are always warm (her body temperature runs hot in general). This is nice cuz Percy's hands are always cold :)
- Prior to the events of The Sea of Monsters, Ash would have joined Kronos if Hades asked her to
