No. It is not, definitely the end for the both of them..
It has just started, their life on the outside world that is. 
Days later after the girls had escaped, the Shé mansion was in utter chaos as when Shé Baizhe came back home, he was faced with multiple problems surrounding his household. 
Firstly, it seems his house got attacked in the time he was away. But no one saw any suspicious person coming in or out near the areas that exploded. Even when he had the servants whipped until near death to find out the culprit who caused those explosions, there was truly no one here that could be held accountable. So he refrained from investigating them more as he commissioned an investigation guild regarding this situation. 
Secondly, the matter with his offsprings. His beautiful and lovely innocent daughter, Shé Baihua was missing and nowhere to be seen in her room as the only thing that they could find was an empty, messy room with scattered clothing covered with blood.
How infuriated he was once he saw the 'bloodied inner wear' of his daughter's clothing. Without any hesitation, he filled a report to the nearest ministry of security office and requested for utmost assistance in finding his daughter as it seems she was truly kidnapped. He requested for the search to be rushed, not because he truly cared about her safety. But it's because in the days to come, she will be soon married. Once he found her, he will make sure to definitely cover up the evidence on what happened to her. Perhaps he should make up a concoction that will make her unable to speak her thoughts so that she won't tell the high ranking official that she's marrying of the truth. It's his last act of affection before she will get married off after all. 
In another note of his offspring problems, his first bon son somehow caught an illness. He thought that he was poisoned at first, but strangely, there was no signs of poison in his body nor symptoms of any poisons that he had ever concocted. Just that, he caught a heavy fever that caused him to be unable to speak nor think right. He became quite middle headed actually. Because of this, he isolated him onto a smaller courtyard in fear of a potential disease spreading. 
Much to his main wife's dismay, she kept crying and crying every night to let her son go and let her meet him. He forbade her from meeting him, because she was also sick under that veil of hers. 
It seems that she had also caught a strange skin disease, for after the fire had burned down her storage house and abundance of treasures, she went into a state of shock and was in a comatose state for days.
After she woke up, she was covered in rashes and spots all over her body. He thought that it was because she's poisoned too, but it turns out it was because of an expired powder that she liked to use(it's actually been spiked by something else tho). Because of that powder getting mixed with the ash and smoke from the heat of the fire, it also burned her skin. Thus making her possibly permanently scarred for life. 
He sighed that it's a shame that her beautiful face that he once loved was no more, but he still have to keep her in his house because of the agreement between their families back then. But he thought that it's fitting for someone who used to be so arrogant about her looks to end like this. 
Perhaps.... He should reconsider who will change places between the main wife and the concubine soon. After all, his Miao Miao is shocked the other day too. But she's more understanding of their current situation than that Shé Mei Mei. He appreciated his concubine very much, as he began to shower her more and more with attention. And it seems that his 2nd son is starting to be interested too in the family business. Perhaps... He should also reconsider who will get the heir position. But only after the boy learned their techniques and tricks too.
