Carmelo's POV 
I threw myself on my bed and screams loud into my pillow."DAM IT " I flip over on my bed and looks up going through my gallery deleting all of my pictures of my ex-girlfriend. You may be wondering why I'm doing this well short answer is she cheated on me . On my FUCKEN BIRTHDAY. 
While going through the pictures I get a call from a random number I see it's local and I answer it." Hello?"  After a while I hear a sigh and a voice saying." They were right. I'm sorry." Confused I answer back." Sorry for what you didn't do anything. I'm just sitting here not doing anything really. Just relaxing that's all."  I lie. 
" are you sure?" It's sound like she's going to cry." Hey yeah it's fine , but question is are you okay ? By the way my name is Carmelo Jose Diaz  but my friends call me CJ."  I heard a small chuckle that made me smile." My name is Ruby Jones it's very nice to meet you Carmelo." 
I chuckle to myself smiling." You have a very pretty name Ruby, so question how did you get this number. Not mad just curious ." I smile as I look at the ceiling." This Guy I went out with , he's known to give girls the wrong number after a date just to hurt them or embrace them." I frown and sits up." Well he sounds like a total ass ." I heard her giggle which made my heart warm up a bit .
" That he is. So Carmelo may I ask why you picked up?" I smile and sighs" Honestly I don't know , it was a gut feeling, it's my birthday and so far it was horrible now it's turning around talking to you." 
" What do you mean horrible? It's your birthday it's supposed to be a good day. " I sigh and smiles sadly." My ex cheated on me well she was my girlfriend but I broke up with her when I found out she was cheating on me."  I wait for a bit then hears" What a bitch , hey know what let's hang out that's if your feeling like it." 
I smile softly." Um I'm actually going out with friends of mine later maybe you can tag along so I won't be the only single one in the group. They knew about my ex , and my friends wanted to Kill her ." I chuckle as I hear her giggle." Sounds like a date." I smile softly. " Yeah. Want to video chat for a bit?" I smile a bit" Yeah." I smile and waits as she accepts my request for a FaceTime She accept then blushes as I see her face.
She's gorgeous on my god." Hi." We both say at the same time and blush dark red. I just stare into her light blue eyes as we talk for about 2 hours." Hey have to get going me and my friends are heading to the bowling alley in downtown." 
She smiles and nods." I'll see you there Carmelo." I nod and hangs up as I get up and grab my towel to take a quick shower and shaves feeling tons better. I get dressed in a grey shirt and blue jeans as I throw my leather jacket on and grabs my phone and keys.
As I got to the bowling alley I smile big as I see my friends." Hey guys what's up." I smile softly and hugs each of them." Okay what happened to you were sad earlier now you look better , what changed." Alice asked me I just smile. " you'll see soon enough."  As we head inside I hear someone say my name I turn and smiles to see Ruby.
Wow she's more beautiful in person. I walk over to her as she's in a black shirt with shorts and a flannel." Hi nice to finally meet you." I shake hands with her then hugs her softly. Laura smiles and looks at us and says" who's this Carmelo?" I turn towards her and smiles." Um this is my new friend Ruby , it's a funny story how we met." Ruby nods and agrees.
" Yeah um it was a wrong number kinda situation." They all look at us confused." We'll talk about it later Okay."  After telling them the story they all smile and welcome her in the group Alice smiled and teased me by saying." I like her better than your ex." I smile and nod, whispering." Same."  
Let's just say answering my phone that day was the best thing I ever did in my life. Cause 6 years later Me and Ruby got married to each other and have three beautiful children.
