Tyler pulls Jenna out of the way and kicks the man square in the chest. She didn't even know he was there till she heard the gun click.

"Run!" Tyler says grabbing her hand and leading her out the door.

It's dark outside, the invaders must have shut off the outside lights to avoid being seen. Jenna looks around and scrambles to get her bearings. When she spots the pond and swing set they grew out of years ago she knows which way to go.

"We're in the side garden on the left side of the house" she says.

"Great. What does that mean?" Tyler asks.

"It means that the fastest way to the garage is from the outside." Jenna says.

They run for the corner of the house. Past many very large windows. This time Jenna spots the attacker before Tyler does. He leaps out from behind a tree and tries to bash her head in with his gun. Jenna ducks at the last second before Tyler slams his flaming hand in the mans face.

He falls to the ground screaming and clawing at the sizzling skin on his face. Jenna takes a moment to stare at Tyler wondering if she would have been able to do the same thing.

They make it to the side of the house and the garage doors with no more surprises. Jenna looks up at the giant metal doors.

"I don't have the key" she says.

Tyler steps foward his arms glowing red like heated up metal.

"We don't need one" he says and plants his hands on the garage door.

Within seconds it begins to bend and ultimately melt into a puddle. There's a strong copper smell as the last of the door drips to the floor. Tylers arms go back to their original colour. He stumbles back holding his head.

"You okay?" She asks.

He nods and points at moms SUV that's now in full view. Jenna nods and races inside the garage running past all the other cars. She reaches the hooks where they hang the keys and searches for the right one. The hairs on the back of Jennas neck stand on end and she ducks just barely missing the fist that slams into the wall knocking the keys down.

Jennas heart is beating faster than it ever has before. Although she's afraid, she's still able to think. She grabs the longest longest key she can find and jabs it into the mans leg. He bends over and clutches his bleeding leg, Jenna kicks him in the face and he falls over his eyes closed.

She runs for the car and opens the door. Jenna hands fumble the key as she tries to put them in the ignition. The car purrs to life and Jenna backs it out over the destroyed garage door. She finds Tyler leaning against the wall. He sweating and  breathing uneasily. Jenna stops the car and runs over to him.

"Lets go" she says and tries to help him stand.

Tyler pulls away and looks back at the house.

"Jason." He says his voice weak.

Jenna looks at the upstairs window but there's no movement. She bites her lip and closes her eyes. She needs to think and think rationally like she always does.

"We need to get to the driveway, we all agreed to meet there."

Tyler looks up at the same window and he doesn't look convinced.

"We have no idea what's going on in there or if they're even still upstairs." She grabs him by the shoulders. "We need to stick to the plan."

Tyler is hesitant, his eyes go back to the window.

"I can't help but feel like something's wrong" he says.

"We have to trust that they'll make ut out alive." Jenna says.

Tyler nods and she helps him into the car.

..................

Jarred shuts the office door silently and puts his index finger to his lips. Jason nods and they stand with their ears on the door. Outside Jason can hear very silent footsteps creeping across the door. Jason looks at Jarred and they both have the same thought. The only way out of this room is through the very door they're standing in front of.

They walk to the furthest point from the door as quietly as they can.

"Can you open the door from here?" Jarred wispers.

He puts his hand on the desk that's just wide enough to fit through the doorway. Jason looks from the desk to him and nods. Jason motions for Jarred to stand back. He focuses his mind on the door handle and it begins to slowly turn.

When the door clicks it blows open and Jason sends the desk flying at the people standing behind it.They have no time to react. They were all ready to kick the door down and enter guns blazing.

"Go" Jason says and grabbing Jarreds hand.

"The East wing saircase is the fastest way downstairs" Jarred says pulling him in the opposite direction.

"The staircase is clear but that can either mean they all decided to leave early or they're covering the exits" Jason says looking down the empty stairwell.

Jason can't hear anything. No guns, no footsteps just silence. His stomach is in knots and he can't shake the feeling that something is wrong.

"I'm gonna go down there and check it out. You stay here." Jason says.

"No fucking way" Jarred says.

"It would make more sense for one of us to have a chance to escape if this is a trap."

"Yeah, while the other one of us gets himself killed." Jarred argues.

"Jarred I get that you're the big brother and all but right now we don't have time for this." Jason says walking away.

"We never do" Jarred mutters under his breath.

His footsteps make the slightest creak as Jason sneaks down the stairs his eyes glowing white. His eyes scan the room and for a moment he begins to think that maybe his instincts are wrong. But then from behind the corner the barrel of a gun appears and a hail of bullets fly at Jason. His mind takes too long to think.

Three bullets find their way into his chest before Jasons reflexes kick in. He holds out his hand and the attacker goes flying. But as soon as his body is thrown out of sight a whole army of men replace him. The walls and banister are torn apart as the bullets tare into them. Jason squats to his knees and runs back upstairs.

The pain in his chest makes it hard for him to walk but Jason struggles to where he left Jarred. With one hand holding his bleeding chest and the other holding on to the wall Jason turns into the hallway to find Jarred standing with his hands in the air an assault rifle aimed at his head.
