“wow, that works? Isn't she afraid of rolling on the baby?”
                          
“no, she says that she knows at all times where the baby is on the bed, she's learned how to sleep in one spot”
                          
“that's really cool, do you really think it would be okay for me to try that?”
                          
“Kelli, your Angie's mom, no one else, you know whats best for your baby, I know that you will know whats best”
                          
I smiled at him “thanks Michael, I want to try it but I'm afraid I'll fall in too deep of a sleep and I'll hurt her somehow”
                          
“what if I stayed with you? Made sure you didn’t roll on her or anything”
                          
“would you?”
                          
“of course I would love” he took Angie and cuddled with her as I went upstairs to get ready for bed. Michael brought Angie up, he handed her to me and I laid down with her on the bed “so how do I do this?” I asked him
                          
“Desi said that you need to lay on your side and position Angie so she right up against you so she can eat, and you both relax like that” I positioned Angie like he said and she started nursing right away, laying down helped me to relax too, Michael settled himself in the chair next to the bed, he watched me, I watched Angie and she fell asleep, I started getting droopy watching her sleep, I fell asleep cuddling with Angie.

over the next few days I slept with Angie in the same bed, it was really nice, when she woke up, I'd just latch her on and she'd fall back to sleep while nursing, I got more sleep then I had those first 5 days.
                          
It was so nice, I actually got sleep at night. Michael and I actually started going out on dates again, we'd walk in the park together, he took me to dinner a few times, and sometimes we'd just stay home and cuddle on the couch.

when Angie was 4 months old, I was back in my last year of high school, prom was coming close.
                          
Chris was taking Bianca, Sarah was going with Jason, who was new in school, no one had asked me yet but I was sure that Michael was going to officially ask me soon. 
                          
After English I ran into Chris as I was walking out of class. “ouch” I said.
                          
“hey watch it” he said
                          
I glared at him. “hey I need to talk to you”
                          
“what do you want Kelli?”
                          
“I need you to sign a form saying that you give up your parental rights, since you don’t want anything to do with me or my baby”
                          
“why?”
                          
“you don’t want anything to do with us”
                          
“fine whatever, I'll sign whatever you want, I don’t need you ruining my life”
                          
“whatever Chris” I walked away, 'gosh what a jerk' I thought to myself. 
                          
During lunch I went across the street to the daycare where Angie was and I fed her, it was harder this way but I wanted to still continue to nurse her for as long as I could, her doctor said that it was the best thing for her, I wanted to give her the best I could. 
                          
After lunch, I went back to school, and finished out the day with no other problems. Michael picked up Angie and I and drove us to the courthouse where I got all the papers I needed Chris to sign to give up his parental rights. I wanted this done as soon as possible.
                          
“so why exactly are you doing this Kells?” Michael asked as we were waiting for the papers.
                          
“because he doesn’t want anything to do with me or the baby, so why should he have any rights as a father, I'd rather get this done now than wait until I really need it”
