Sipping my tea, I look at my newly acquired personal knight, admiring his nicely developed body peaking out here and there from his armor. We are currently waiting for Mary to finish her duties so I could speak with them about what I want to do and generate ideas about dealing with the engagement. Hmm. I guess I could try and find information about Henry. I don't really know much about him. I place my cup down and rest my hands on my chin, ready for gossip.

"So, Henry. Tell me about yourself." I say lightly.

"What would you like to know, Lady Annelise?" Henry says, relaxing on the chair looking oh so handsome.

"Hmm, how did you come to be one of our knight commanders? I know it takes a lot of talent to be chosen." I ponder.

"I was acquainted with your father, Duke Thornweather, due to my father being his swordmaster," Henry says, flexing his muscles a bit. I drool a bit. Wait, my father's master?
"OH! Your father is Sir Radius? The royal knight commander?" I look at him in shock. He nods.

"Yes, before the war, I would train with your father and the other dukes. I wasn't needed at the royal castle with my father there, so Duke Thornweather, your father, asked me to be his personal knight. Later I was given the title of Thornweather Knight Commander when he didn't need my services anymore." Henry elaborates.

"Oh, you also participated in the war?" I ask. He nods again.

"Yes, I have just returned not too long ago once Vendia conceded." He says. That explains the scars and his slightly rough feeling. So manly!

Vendia is one of our neighboring countries and we had just fought a war with them over trade routes. We won of course, but it lasted over three years.

"Hmm, well thank you for your service." I bow my head. Henry stops me.

"Ah, it is my duty to serve." He waves his hands. I shake my head.

"It is only proper for me to show respect. The Thornweather family will profit a lot because of these trade routes." I recall. Hmm, this might pose a problem in breaking the engagement.

"My lady, Sir Henry." Mary walks up to us, bringing a new pot of tea.

"Thanks Mary." I say as she pours me a new cup of tea.

"Okay guys!" I clap my hands together.

"This is the first official meeting of Plan Get Out Of A Bad Relationship!" I declare.
