She was captured; Robin left Lullaby Taylor at Castle Nottingham, as he saved Will Scarlet and a few others. She let Robin escape, and paid for it with her life. She assured Robin she'd be safe, and she'd find him when she was able.

Sir Guy of Gisborne, the Sheriff of Nottingham's right hand man, had gotten to her first. His sword drawn, his blue eyes had widened at her. Her hands were up, in surrender as a blade be pointed at her. Something changed in Gisborne's expression: in his heart, he felt a sudden admiration for the girl, like he needed to protect her with his life. As the other guards gathered around them, Gisborne ordered them immediately to drop their arms, as he did as well. Her slate grey eyes had held confusion at the man in black in front of her.

As the guards went to take her to the dungeon, Gisborne had interfered. Now, she was in his quarters, sitting on a chair near the window.

Gisborne entered the room then, closing the wooden door behind him. His blue eyes rested on her. He sat in a chair in front of her.

"How are you feeling?" he asked, searching for appropriate words. His tone was soft.

"My company left, and I am here," she said slowly. "I'm sure it could be worse, had you not taken me away from the dungeons." Her eyes watched Gisborne carefully. "Why did you do that? I'm in league with Robin Hood. Usually that would mean I'd be sentenced to death."

Gisborne was quiet a moment. "It was his fault. He brainwashed you."

"But what if he didn't?"

"I will say he did, and believe it so."

His voice was soft and gentle; she'd seen his wrath before. The man in front of her was not a vengeful beast, but a gentle soul.

"Am I able to be released?" she asked. "May I go back to Robin?"

His eyes looked at the stone floor. "If you wish it. Without compromise."

She saw the sadness in his eyes, though he hid it well. "But what if I wanted to stay here with you?"

He met her eyes, surprise in them. "Then that would be all well, all the same."

"If I am not to come of harm, I shall stay here. With you, Sir Guy of Gisborne." She smiled a little. "As I wish it."

Gisborne nodded once; his blue eyes looked happy with her words. "As you wish it."
