Requested by @IDrinkAcidForFun this is your third request. I really enjoyed writing this one.

Sammy was a popular singer that lived in a city. He mostly sang at this place that hosted singers for a club. Sammy was their main singer because everybody there adored him. Everybody, even the staff, especially the man that worked the lights.
Norman Polk was the light worker for the stage at the club, and he loved listening to Sammy's voice, whether the short blonde was singing or just talking. He'd never spoke to Sammy before, but really wished he could.
It was a Thursday afternoon when Norman was checking with the stage staff everything was set up and ready to go, when he heard the doors open and saw his manager and Sammy walk in. His insides fluttered violently every time he saw the singer.
They were arguing about something. "I'm not sure if the big light is gunna hold off, we haven't replaced the bulb in quite a while." The manager, Joey, growled.
"Well how would you know? Who's the person that operates the lights?" Sammy asked, hands on his hips.
"That guy I think." Joey pointed to Norman. Sammy raised and eyebrow at the manager.
"You think? Shouldn't you know? What kind of manager are you?" Sammy huffed, walking over to Norman. The tall man felt himself going into panic mode, was Sammy going to talk to him?!
Sammy stopped right in front of him and looked up at Norman. "Hello." He greeted. Norman just stared awkwardly for a few moments before snap uh back into reality.
"Uh-Hi!" He nearly yelled, nerves failing to keep steady. Sammy gave him a weird look.
"Are you okay?" He asked. Norman nodded. "Since your manger is an idiot, could you tell me if the lights are all okay? Because he said he thought some were dead." Sammy said.
"Uh- y-yeah no they're all fine, I-I checked them all this morning." Norman spluttered, his face flushed. He tried thinking of something else to say, something to keep the conversation going, but he was too panicked to think straight.
"Okay, thanks." Sammy walked away, going to find Joey. Norman sighed. He was so close to maybe getting a small chance of having just a normal, nice conversation with Sammy.
Sammy suddenly turned around and looked at Norman again. "Does your manager often not pay attention to important details such as this?" Sammy asked.
"Oh, yeah all the time." Norman shrugged. "Nobody in the backstage crew cares much at this point, we're used to having to do our job and his job." He added. Sammy frowned.
"You guys deserve a better manager, Joey's an asshole." Sammy said. "If you guys wanted I could talk to the people who hired him?" Sammy offered. A few of the other stage helpers looked up at him, surprised.
"Really?" One girl asked. The others whispered excitedly. Maybe they'd finally get someone who cared enough that they weren't working when they had broken limbs from accidents backstage.
"Yeah, I'll do that tomorrow when their office building is open, how's that sound?" Sammy asked. The stage crew all agreed, happy at this.
"Hey, what's your name by the way?" Sammy pointed to Norman. The tall man felt his stomach twist in a knot. Sammy wanted to know his name?! Ok, maybe he was overreacting just a little bit.
"Norman." He responded. Sammy smiled lightly.
"That's a nice name." He said. Norman felt very happy at finally being able to talk to Sammy, and that the man seemed happy to talk to him made him even more giddy. "Oh-shit! I'm on in ten seconds!" Sammy rushed to the edge of the curtains.
Norman stared after him with a stupid grin on his face before realizing he had to get the lights going. He rushed to his booth and flicked switches, and pushed buttons.
He watched contentedly as Sammy sang, closing his eyes for a moment to let the musician's voice flow through his brain. The show was over too soon for his liking, and it was getting late. It was 9:00pm, but Norman wasn't tired.
He shut off the lights and exited the booth. He was always last to leave, but was curious when he heard voices. He rounded the corner to see Sammy scolding Joey about how he treated the employees. "I know without me this place would shut down, so you need to start doing your job right, or I'm bringing the board into this." Sammy warned before leaving.
Norman rushed to the door so he wasn't caught listening into a conversation he probably wasn't supposed to be part of. As he reached to open it he heard his name being called. He turned to see Sammy, and instantly felt nervous like he always did around the blonde.
"Hey Norman. I talked to Joey so if he's still acting up tomorrow, tell me about it because I can get him replaced if needed." Sammy said, stopping beside him to talk.
"Oh! Okay. T-thanks a lot." Norman spluttered out, pushing the door open and holding it for Sammy. The two walked through the parking lot together.
"Hey uh...Y'know I kinda feel bad for not noticing how Joey was acting sooner, so I thought maybe I could buy you a drink or something if you're not busy?" Sammy offered, voice growing more quite. Norman thought his ears weren't working.
"L-like right now?" Norman asked. Sammy nodded. "Y-yeah, sure I'd love that." Norman responded with a grin, face burning red.
So they went to a nice place and just chatted for a while, and it was one in the morning before they knew it. "Oh, Jeez. I'm afraid it's already morning, we'd better get going then?" Sammy said, standing up.
They walked back to the parking lot of the club where their cars were, and stood awkwardly before saying goodbye for the night. Each wanted to say something more, but both were too afraid.
The next day Joey hadn't changed a bit, if anything he became worse of a human being. Sammy was done. Joey was fired before he knew it and the place needed a new boss. Sammy had taken a strong liking to Norman and enjoyed talking to him within all free time he had at the club.
"Hey, I was just thinking...what if you took over for Joey? You seem to know what you're doing around here, not to mention you're actually nice." Sammy suggested.
Norman flushed at the idea that Sammy thought he should be in charge. "You think?" He asked, not sure what else to say.
"Yeah." Sammy said with a small grin. "You up for it, Norman?" He added, gently elbowing him in the side in a teasing way.
Norman couldn't help the smile stretched across his lips, Sammy was too cute the way he looked up at him. "I guess so." He replied.
"Great, I know you'll do great!" Sammy said enthusiastically, standing on tiptoes to pat him on the shoulder. This was followed by an awkward silence as they waited for the time Sammy had to go start singing.
"W-well, I guess I should get ready, you too. I'll see you later, Norman." Sammy said, turning on his heel to leave.
Norman wasn't sure what made him do it. Maybe stupidity, maybe impulse, but he grabbed Sammy's wrist and said, "Wait!"
Curious, Sammy turned to look at Norman, and, to the taller man's surprise, not removing his wrist from Norman's grip. "What's wrong?" He asked, concern lacing his voice at the slightly panicked expression across Norman's face.
"Nothing, I just..." Norman was at a loss for words, staring in an awkward panic into Sammy's sky blue eyes that glittered curiously back at him. "I was just kinda wondering..." Norman started, voice quivering and eyes darting side to side.
"I-I was just wondering if maybe you'd want to go out sometime?" He said in an unusually high pitched voice. His face was blazing and he removed his hand from Sammy's wrist when the blonde didn't immediately reply.
"As in...like a date?" Sammy asked slowly, giving a side glance to Norman as if he weren't hearing correctly.
"Y-yeah, but I totally understand if you don't want to!" He burst out, shaking a little from how nervous he was. Another few moments of silence passed before anyone spoke.
A sudden huge grin broke out on Sammy's face. "Yeah! That sounds nice. When do you think?" He asked, pale face now a dark shade of scarlet. Norman couldn't believe his ears.
"W-woah, really? W-what about tonight? Or I'm free any night this week whenever is fine." Norman said, a lopsided grin across his red face.
"Tonight is good. I'll see you then Polk, but I have to go or I'll be getting fired for not showing up." Sammy said, smiling fondly at him before turning and walking onto the stage. The whole situation flew by so quickly, Norman wasn't sure it even happened.
He felt like his entire body deflated in relief and happiness, until he realized with a slightly panicked jolt he had to do the lights.

Ayy it hasn't been two months but I'm back anyways :D I hated that I've been in love with my best friend for three years but thought I never stood a chance so had a boyfriend-
Man- my day went by so fast but so slow- I woke up and I had a boyfriend, by lunchtime my best friend showed me a bunch of texts he sent her about him being homophobic towards her, then sexist, then racist because she is Aboriginal, and of course that bitch attempted to cheat on me with my best friend, so then I was single again cuz fuck that blonde motherfucker.
I'm not even mad about him cheating that much, I'm mad about him treating my bestie like that. By the end of the day my best friend was just like "oh yeah by the way I've been in love with you for four years" and now I have a girlfriend. Too much stuff happened in one day, oddly enough I've never been more happy in my life.
