"Wow, this is beautiful!" Pier exclaimed as the view greeted them.
The waves rushing to the shore, the birds that flew atop the skies, the cold breeze that caressed their faces.
"How'd you know this place?" Pier asked him and Ciaran scratched the back of his head in embarrassment.
Pier's amazed face was just too beautiful.
"I only know of this place based on what I remember before our kingdom was invaded. The faint memory of my mother taking me here to eat as well is still present in my mind," he responded and Pier nodded his head with an understanding look.
"I see... I'm glad you still remembered this place, Ciaran," Pier leaned his body towards the man and Ciaran wrapped his hands around Pier's shoulder.
"Me too. Though I clearly forgot about it, I tried to look for this place again when I finally had the time and we had Heron under our control." He then went to kiss Pier's forehead.
He was grateful towards his lover because if Pier did not initiate in invading the Heron Kingdom by themselves, Ciaran would not have the liberty to look for this place.
It was a secret shoreline covered by tall trees and was at the end of the forest left unexplored by mankind in the borders of the Heron Kingdom.
The sand was purely white while the ocean was blue. Even the sun shining on the horizon looked beautiful as its rays were reflected by the raging yet calm ocean waters.
Going towards one of the spots that the waves could not reach but was near enough for their feet to enjoy the water that cascaded further, Pier and Ciaran sat on the sandy shore wherein the former placed the basket he held.
"You bought quite a bunch," Ciaran commented when he saw that the basket's cover was already slightly lifted with how much food was inside.
"Well, I'm a man who needs to eat a lot!" The vampire king laughed at his lover's antics. Indeed, with the phoenix living inside of him, Pier needed to eat a lot or he would be skin and bones by the end of the day.
"Besides, I really can't finish all of this and you need to eat as well. You can finish all of it if I get full, right?" Pier turned to look at him with a set of puppy-eyes that Ciaran saw for the first time.
"W-What's with that expression?" He stuttered when Pier's blue eyes sparkled beautifully.
"You don't want to eat it for me?" The white-haired king asked with his lips downturned and a literal sad-looking expression was plastered on his face.
"O-Of course I'll eat it!" Ciaran exclaimed and tried to look away but Pier's face was pulling him in.
"Really? Yey-"
He did not even finish his cheer when the other man grabbed his chin and smashed their lips together.
Ciaran's face was flushed red and his hands were slightly shaking. Even Pier who was surprised with the sudden action felt the vampire king's trembling hands.
However, seeing that Ciaran was insistent on kissing him, he decided to go with it and they shared a passionate kiss in front of the sun.
"P-Pier..." Ciaran said in a stuttering voice once more.
"Hmm?" The white-haired king responded while tilting his head slightly.
"My... my heart is always warm when I'm with you..." he admitted and Pier's eyes widened.
"H-Hey..." This time, it was Pier who was stuttering and he blushed too.
"My stomach feels weird too when you always look at me. It feels weird yet pleasant..." Ciaran was speaking of his feelings but he wasn't shying away.
