"Kristina did that?!" My mom huffed. "What was her purpose?!"
"I don't even know! That bitch is really something else!" Myrna groaned into the air as she bites on her strawberries. "I heard she even created the rumor that my son is marrying someone else when she knew Mark is courting your kid!"
"Oh my god, I can't believe I let her hurt my child!" My mom is an angel but I really can see the pure anger in her eyes, but softness is still there when she wiped the sauce off my lips gently. "What kind of— Oh god, she's not even human anymore!"
"True that!" Mark's mom rolled her eyes. "And I can't imagine how I even believed her lies before. I mean, I was mad because I really thought Donghyuck is not interested in my son!"
"I was, though." I whisper. "So much, even."
"I know." She heard me and rolled her eyes at me. "I'm sorry for that, anyway. I was just enraged."
"It's okay." I twitch my lips and shyly look down.
"By the way, what are you planning on doing now?" She asks when the awkwardness started to fill the air. "I mean, about the company. Sure you can't just let them handle it, no?"
"I don't know about my sons. What do you want to do with it, baby?" Mama asked me but I shook my head.
"I don't know, mama. I don't know a thing about the company… and Mark does things about that."
"You don't want to have it? Your company is surely rising now by the help of Mark, it'll be a waste to just give it to the other family." Mark's mom furrowed her eyebrows but the way she said it isn't offensive at all. I guess she just want me to bring the company with me, but I don't think I can.
"Mark and I are planning to have children," My cheeks flushed red as I twirl my fingers shyly. "I guess Mark would want us to focus on taking care of our child than fighting over that company. Besides, Mark said he can provide for us already."
"You already want a child, Donghyuck?" Mama asked me and softly patted my hair. "Don't you think it's too soon?"
"Hold on, Haemin. My son's been diagnosed with baby-fever ever since he courted your son." Mark's mom huffed. "Surely, he already waited for too long, right?"
"He did, mama. Besides, he wants to have a lot so I guess, conceiving now would be much easier." I smile at her. "I just found Minhyuck and Sarang adorable when I first visited them and I wanted to have some for ourselves. That's the thing that drove me to do this."
Mama sighed and rubbed my back. "I'm not against it, I'm just worried for my youngest. But… I'm sure you can do it."
"Thank you, Mama."
"Now I miss my baby Mark." Myrna pouted. "What time does he usually go home?"
"Mostly he goes home by ten, but lately he's already here by eight." I shrug and grab on the fruit to eat it.
"Baby, have you heard from your Johnny hyung, by the way?"
"Not yet." I answer. "Why, mama?"
"He went to your father's lawyer today. I'm guessing he needs to meet him to see what's really your father's will." She spoke in a small and soft, kind voice. "If he gets it by today, we will fight for your father's company okay?"
"Whatever you want, Mama." I hum. "I'll just leave the company to your hold. I don't need it anyway."
"Besides, Mark won't allow you to work." Myrna laughed happily. "I know my overprotective son, just like his father."
"But if my baby wants to, surely he can't stop Donghyuck from doing so, right?"
"Yeah." I smile.
That's for sure. Because the man I married, is a man that is comfortable with what I'm comfortable with, also. Mark is a kind of husband that won't stop me from doing what I want. That's why I don't want to let go of this marriage. I'll never be out of this.
