The birds chirped as the morning sun finally rose over the horizon. The people of Adventure Bay were already up and doing their normal daily tasks. As for the Paw Patrol they were all still sound asleep. But the rays of the morning sun crept into the pup house of one particular German Shepard.

"Ugh morning already?" Chase questioned to no one in particular. He knew he had to get up, but he really didn't want to. "I shouldn't have stayed up so late." He complained. Though deep down he was happy that he did. He stretched and walked out of his pup house to be met with the crisp morning air. It was almost spring, but it hasn't quite started to get warmer yet. So the air was a bit chilly.

He decided to go wake up Skye first as he always did. He liked talking to her before the others, even if it was just for a few seconds. "Skye? Time to wake up." He whispered. She didn't budge. So he gently shook her. She stirred. "What it's already morning?" She asked. Chase laughed and spoke. "That's exactly the same thing I said too."

Chase grabbed his megaphone and told Skye to cover her ears. "Pups, time to wake up!" It echoed. They heard the whines of the pups, but they all soon came out. "Morning guys." Marshall greeted. "Morning." They all said back. They went inside the lookout to find Ryder filling up the rest of their bowls. "Here you go pups." He said filling up the last one.

They all ate in silence until Ryder spoke. "Pups today we have the day off, so you can use this day to relax." They all smiled at the thought of relaxing. "I'm going to sleep all day." Rubble said. They all laughed. "Classic Rubble." Rocky said. After they finished their food they all went to do things on their own except for Chase and Skye.

"Want to go to the beach?" Chase suggested. "Sure why not." Skye replied. They walked in silence all the way down to the beach. It was a comfortable silence though. When they had arrived they sat in the sand and watched the movement of the waves. They still hadn't said a single word to each other.

Chase stole glances at Skye. She looked so pretty in his eyes. Not to mention the way the sun was casted on her fur right now. It made her look even more beautiful. "Pretty isn't it?" Skye asked, referring to the waves. "Yeah..." Chase sighed, but he was still looking at Skye. She glanced over at him and saw he was looking at her. She blushed. "Um Chase the waves are over there."

He blushed hard and quickly turned to watch the waves. "Sorry." He apologized. "No need to be sorry." Skye said. They were both blushing at this point. "Why do I feel like this around him?" Skye thought as her heart raced. "Why do I feel this way around her?" Chase questioned in his head and blushed a deeper shade of red.

Suddenly their pup tags went off. "Paw Patrol to the lookout!" They heard Ryders voice call out. "I thought we had a day off." Skye said confused. "We did, let's see what it is." Chase replied. They both ran to the lookout and waited in the elevator for Marshall. Surprisingly this time he didn't crash into anyone. "Marshall dude you didn't crash." Zuma noted. "What I didn't?." He looked around. "Oh yeah I didn't." Marshall laughed.

They heard the ding of the elevator indicating that they had reached their destination. They all jumped out and landed in their respective spots. "Paw Patrol ready for action Ryder sir." Chase called out. Ryder pressed a button on his pup pad and the screen lit up. "Thanks for coming pups. We don't have an emergency as of now, but we will have to leave again." He stated.

The pups were confused. "Why?" Rubble asked. "Well you see a town a little ways from here needs us to help them out for a while. They have little emergency forces and recently one of their emergencies left the majority of them injured. So they need us to help with things that go on until they get better." Ryder explained.

"What about Adventure Bay?" Marshall asked. "We'll just like when we left for Adventure City there were other emergency forces here to protect. We just do the little jobs for them, but while we're away they'll take over again." Ryder answered. "I'm still sore from the last trip." Zuma complained. "I know but they need us and we're going to help." Ryder replied.

"Ok so we're leaving again, but what's the place we're going called?" Chase asked. Ryder smiled. "Good question, the place we're going to is called WestWard Hallows." Skye froze on the spot. "Did he just say Westward Hallows?" She thought. She did not want to go back to that horrible place. She started shaking where she stood. "A-Are you sure that's the name?" Chase stuttered. "Yep positive." Ryder confirmed.

Chase frowned. He knew that was the same place Skye was talking about last night. He glanced at her and saw she looked like she was struck with fear. "Chase? Skye? You two alright?" Ryder asked concerned. Skye didn't speak up so Chase spoke for her. "Yep we're good, we just need to step out for a bit." He answered and dragged Skye out with him. The others stood there confused.

Chase and Skye stood outside their pup houses and Chase watched as Skye paced around in front of him. "Skye it's gonna be alright." He tried to comfort. But she snapped. "NO ITS NOT, YOU OF ALL PEOPLE SHOULD KNOW THAT!" She yelled. He thought about it and she was right. It wasn't going to be fine. She sighed. "Sorry I'm just..." Chase continued for her. "Scared? I know. But I'm going to help you through it just like you helped me." He shot her a smile and pulled her into a hug. He felt her immediately relax into it.

They sat there for a while feeling safe in each other's embrace. "Promise you won't leave me?" Skye asked softly. "Promise." Chase whispered back. "Promise you won't leave me either." He asked. "Promise." She spoke. Just then they heard the footsteps of the other pups and separated. They approached them. "You guys ok?" Marshall asked. "Yep we're good." Chase replied. The others went to pack up their stuff, but Zuma stuck around with Chase and Skye.

Once he was sure that the others were far away he wrapped Skye in a hug. She took it immediately. "I know this is going to be hard for you Skye." Zuma said quietly. He let go of the embrace. "You did tell Chase right?" He asked her. "Yeah." Skye replied. "Good just making sure." He said. Chase and I are going to make sure your okay, right Chase?" Zuma asked looking at him for an answer. "Right." Chase replied with a smile. "Thanks guys, I owe you." Skye smiled.

They sat and talked for a while then went to pack up their things for the new trip they would be taking. Skye could just feel her nerves getting worse each passing second. But then she remembered that Chase and Zuma would be there for her. She would have hoped that she would never have to visit that place again, but she decided that it was about time she faced her fears.
