Acornfur rushed out with herbs. Goldenstreak ran to Duskpatch, he had been in the patrol.
"What happened?" She asked. Duskpatch shook his head sadly.
"We were attacked by rogues, we fought them off, but Whiteshade was wounded." He responded. Goldenstreak looked at the strong warrior, now weak and helpless. Acornfur looked up at everyone with a solemn expression.
"I'm sorry, but Whiteshade has joined StarClan." She announced. There were gasps and wails all around the clearing. Nightstream and Lightstorm ran to their brother, Emberspirit ran to him to. Blossomdapple looked at her father from afar. She bowed her head in misery. Dawnpaw looked shocked. Gingerstar jumped onto High Stump.
"Whiteshade was a strong warrior, he was always loyal to his clan, he will be remembered for that. Tonight we will pay him a silent vigil, it." She said. Cats move forward towards Whiteshade's body. Goldenstreak out her nose against his fur.
"I'm sorry, you were such an amazing warrior." She whispered. Goldenstreak went back to the warrior sadly.
