Mystic Falls
This town had destroyed me once.

Ever heard of a more mysterious name for a town? No? Me neither. It was true, the little city in Virginias heart was just as mystical as its name. Mystic Falls was the home of every supernatural being, whether they were vampires, witches or werewolves.
All of them had a place in Mystic Falls.

I, myself hated this town. I hated it so much I avoided it for the last few decades. Every time someone asked me why, I scoffed and said "it's just a boring, little town." which was a lie, I wanted to believe myself.
Mystic Falls was everything but boring.

The truth is, I couldn't bring up the guts to go back after everything that happened there in the early 1950s.

Mystic Falls was the reason I became a monster. Mystic Falls left a huge dark stain on my soul and i couldn't erase it.
That stain would be stuck there for eternity and there was nothing I could do about it.

Well actually there was, but the last time I turned my humanity off I became the famous ripper of Phoenix, Arizona.
Dark times for everyone.

For a very long time I thought that everything I did was my brothers fault, because he turned me into a vampire, little did he know that I already was a supernatural creature.

A siphon, turns out a very powerful one, but we were young and had no idea. When he wanted to turn me I begged him not to do it, but he was afraid.

Afraid to die alone, to be lonely or just afraid that he had to see me die someday.
And so he, accidentally, created one of the first heretics ever.

Today was the day I finally decided to come back. Not because I missed this rathole of a town, but I had to make some things up to the people I loved.

"Welcome to Mystic Falls.."

I muttered as I saw the sign on the side of the road and pressed my foot a little harder on the gas. Actually, I didn't even know if I would find both of them in Mystic Falls. My locator spells never worked on both of them, so I assumed their ways were split too.

Klaus Mikaelson, a good friend of mine, told me that I might find at least one of them in Mystic Falls. So I drove the whole night from new Orleans.

As I finally arrived at the famous Mystic grill, I stopped my car. Before heading inside I made sure I looked at least acceptable after a fifteen hour drive. It was early in the morning, but I still went inside and quickly realized that literally nothing had changed.

"Hey! We're not open yet!"

With a seductive grin on my lips I moved closer to the bartender. I was starving and this blonde hottie would be perfect for me. I leaned over the bar, allowing him to a perfect look on my cleavage.

"Not even for a girl who just got into town?"

My eyes fell on the bracelet he was wearing. The aching smell wandered into my nose and made me pucker it. Vervain.
Great I couldn't drink from him.

I looked at him and desperately bit my lip. "You know what's the worst about long drives? My legs feel so sore!" I stretched in front of him and could already see his ices melting.

"I'm Layla by the way."

He snapped back to reality and looked me in the eyes. "Matt, hi." I smiled innocently. "What can I get you?" Matt threw the old kitchen towel over his shoulder, while sliding the menu over to me.

"A Bourbon would do it."

Matt raised his brows, but didn't hesitate to get me my drink. "So, what brings you here?" Inspecting my red nails I answered him. "I'm looking for someone." He put the glass down in front of me, smirkingly.
Bloody idiot.

"Hey Matt are you–"

As the black haired guy laid his dark eyes on me, he immediately went silent. Grinning to myself I shook my head. "Are you gonna stare or take a drink with me?" He quickly hopped on the bar stool next to me and introduced himself as Tyler Lockwood.

It would be a lie, if I said that I wasn't surprised. Klaus told me a lot about Tyler. His best and worst creation, but he never told me that he was this handsome. That was exactly my type. Handsome, supernatural and a little psycho.
I shook that thought out of my head.
I wasn't here to flirt around.

While Matt mixed a Long Island ice tea for his friend Tyler we got into a little flirt session.
I just couldn't help it, that was a big trait of my personality.

I mean, how else would I know the Mikaelsons?

After a while I stood up, grabbed a twenty dollar bill out of my bra and placed it under my empty glass. The two boys watched my actions with fallen jaws, which made me smirk.

"Not to be rude boys, but I gotta go."

I headed to the door, but stopped and turned back to them.

"See you around Tyler.."
