Aegon Targaryen

When we arrived back in the Pyramid, the guard presence has been tripled. Daenerys says that we will reconvene tomorrow to discuss the events. Daenerys was very pleased by the success of our plan. By the time we got back and assessed how many wounded there were, Daenerys decided to take the rest of the day off. One day of waiting would not make a huge difference, and I tend to agree.

"Love, what will happen next?" she asks as she is nestled in my side. It is the first time that I have no idea about what comes next. Drogon did not take her to the Dothraki, and now we will not gain the many Dothraki warriors. One thing that will happen is war. The masters will come for us one way or another.

"Well, I don't know exactly. You did not stay after the great games in Meereen. The dragons were also not free to fly around from the story I knew. So, it is hard to say. What I do know is that we will have a large battle waiting for us." Daenerys sighs as she rests her head on my shoulder. "Who are we going to fight?" She asks. "The masters. We will discuss it tomorrow, Dany. Today is meant to relax." Daenerys smiles as she looks up at me, her gaze has a certain longing in them. She swings one leg over me so that she is sitting on top of me. "Relaxing... sounds good to me..." she says with a soft and seductive tone. It sends shivers through my body. How did I get so lucky...

Daenerys Targaryen ~ war meeting

As the next day arrived, I called a war meeting. The men were wondering why and who we will be fighting. Varys received his information and informed us. It seems to have triggered some memories from Alex, and he was planning for the coming war. As all important people are present, Alex stands up from his seat and walks to the map of Slaver's Bay that is hung up, so everyone can see.

"Gentlemen, Missandei, and my lovely wife, Varys has some grave news. War is coming to Meereen. We now know who we are fighting, and it is a lot, but not insurmountable," Alex begins. He points to the bay. "A fleet of several nations will converge and move to Meereen. Our fleet stands no chance against it." Alex then points to the northern side and southern side of Meereen. "From land, a large army will march on Meereen. They will have too many numbers, we have too few men to face them on the land," he says.

Missandei seems confused, and a bit scared of so many enemies. "You said we can deal with this? How exactly? You already concluded our army and fleet stand no chance," she says. Alex turns to face the group again. I feel pride as I look at Alex. His calm and collect demeanor shows his confidence that we will win.

"Correct, Missandei. We stand no chance with our army and fleet, but we have dragons. They are powerful, and it will allow us to defeat them. As we need ships, our fleet will stay docked. That means the dragons will first face off against the fleet, which leaves the armies on land to deal with," Alex explains, "The Unsullied and Second Sons need to hold off the army long enough, which we could do by arming former slaves. They should have plenty of motivation to take up arm to defend their freedom," Alex says.

I scan the group to see how the group is feeling. The knights, Daario, and Grey Worm seems to see the potential in the plan. Tyrion looks to be thinking deeply. "Tyrion, do you have an alternative suggestion?" I ask. Everyone turns to look at him.

"First of all, the plan is not bad. In the perspective of the military. However, we can perhaps come to an accord with the masters. Avoid the entire fight," Tyrion says. I can already see Grey Worm and Missandei disapproval of the idea. "Tell me, Tyrion, how would you propose to do that? They want slavery back, I will not allow it. We will never reach a 'compromise' that will satisfy them," I say with great irritation.

"Tyrion, I like to discuss this with you and Daenerys in private. The rest of you, please trust in me and Daenerys to come to an appropriate course of action," Alex says. He mainly looked at Missandei and Grey Worm. Missandei softly sighs but nods. The others stand up and leave the room.

"Tyrion, your plan to speak with the three representatives will not work. They'll attack anyway," Alex says. May they suffer in hell, I cursed mentally. "How do you know? We haven't even tried," Tyrion says with a raised eyebrow in curiosity. Alex looks at me, asking for permission. I nod.

"I know because I have seen it happen already. My knowledge and insight do not come from looking into the flames, or a large spy network. I have seen it happen because I am not from this world," Alex explains. "Your Grace... are you sure you are well? This..." Tyrion says, but is cut off by me. "He is sane, Tyrion. Love, perhaps you should show the book you wrote?" I suggested. Alex sighs deeply but nods. He walks out the room to fetch it.

Tyrion takes a sip from his cup. "How many know of this?" Tyrion asks. "Everyone except Varys. I don't fully trust him with this secret," I say to him. He nods in understanding. "I can understand why," he says, and we turn to the door that is opened once more by Alex. In his hand is the book. Alex sits down next to me and hands the book over. Tyrion takes it and starts to read.

He frowns as he continues to read the various pages. "Earth... that is your world? How did you get here?" Tyrion asks as he continues to read. "I am not sure, but at times I hear a voice. I believe it is Mother Rhoyne. The chief goddess of the Rhoynar," Alex says. Tyrion closes the book as he runs a hand through his beard. "I once thought I knew how the world worked; power, family, institutions to keep the people in line... not once did I thought gods or whatever happened to you would exist," he hands the books back to Alex, "So, you have known about our world through books?" Tyrion asks.

Alex nods. "Yes, among other things. The point is, I know certain things and what would happen. But things have changed significantly. Daenerys was supposed to be taken captive by the Dothraki, but she is here. What I do know is that the slavers will not surrender. They don't understand that they cannot win against Dragons," Alex explains.

"Is that not what we should do? Show such force that they surrender?" I ask. Tyrion nods, deep in thought. "We can avoid most of the bloodshed if we invite them here after they made their appearance. We will tell them to talk about a surrender. They will be arrogant enough to think it will be us," Tyrion says. I look at Alex to see what he knows. Alex nods in my direction. "Very well, can I ask you to handle it?" I ask Tyrion. A soft smile forms on his face. "As you wish, Your Grace."

"Tyrion, I expect you to keep this secret. Even from your friend, Varys," Alex says sternly. Tyrion nods. "Of course, it will be our secret." I stand up and Alex does as well. "Good. Thank you, Tyrion. I appreciate your council and help," I say. "I appreciate you giving me a chance. Not many would give it to me. I will think about what we have discussed and come to you when I have more to present." I nod and leave with Alex to our room to enjoy the rest of the evening.
