Chapter 1: Old Friend

                                    

                                          
(No One's POV)
     Carlisle Cullen was in trouble his son had impregnate his human wife and he didn't know what to do. He had looked at every book he can think of and he still had no answer. This has never happened in history before, he was utterly lost at what to do. 
       There was only one person he can think of  that might know what to do but the problem is that he has no idea how to find him. 
     As Carlisle steps out of his office the atmosphere is tense no one has any idea if Bella can survive this. 
" Carlisle have you found anything." Esme asked with sadness lacing her voice. Bella has become one of her children. She couldn't lose her. 
" Nothing this has never happened before." 
"There has to be something we can do. We can't let Bella die." Alice Cullen says with sadness Bella was her sister after all. 
" We can't help Bella, but I know someone that might be able to help her." 
"Who?" Rosalie Hale asked from besides the dying human. 
"Dr. Maximus Mercer." 
"Who is that my love." 
" Dr. Mercer is a vampire but he is not like us." 
"What do you mean he is not like us." Emmett asks cutting off his father.
" He wasn't like any other vampire alive where our skin was ice cold and hard as a rock his was regular to that of a human. Where our human blood leaves our body completely after being a vampire for a long time his never left. Where we can drink animal blood to survive if we choose he can only drink human blood. And where we glowed in the sun he was burned in the sun."  
     The rest of the family where shocked to say the least. They have all been alive for a long time and in all that time every single vampire was the same. They didn't know that their was a second species of vampire.
" He is the only one of his kind. He can't create new vampires." Carlisle continues. 
"Why do you think he can help us Carlisle." Jasper speaks up from the corner of the living room.  
" Even though Dr. Mercer is relatively young in vampire terms he is a genius when it comes to the supernatural. He has dedicated his life to understanding everything about the supernatural world."
" So how do we find him?" Says the newly arrived Edward Cullen. 
" That's the problem I have no idea where he is. After we left Volterra we parted ways. I haven't seen or heard from him since then." 
" There has to be something we can do Bella won't last long. That thing inside of her is killing her." 
"That thing is a BABY Edward!" 
     As Edward and Rosalie argue about Bella and the baby. Alice gets thrown into a vision
   The first thing Alice notice Is the Brooklyn bridge. The second is that it's raining and it's pitch black, their wasn't a single star in the sky. The third thing she notices is a man in a suit and black coat standing at the very top of the bridge staring in to nothingness. Alice couldn't believe her eyes it was him the man she was dreaming of since she was human. As Alice walk closer to him he turns and stares right at Alice. 
"Who are you." 
"ALICE ARE YOU OK!" Jasper says shaking Alice 
" What." 
"I said are you ok you look shaken up. What did you see?" Jasper asks his long time friend.
     I heard Jasper but I can't bring my self to speak. I haven't had a vision of him for so long.Why now. He spoke to me that's not possible he shouldn't be able to see me. 
"She saw the Brooklyn bridge and a man in in a suit with red eyes." Edward 

"Are you sure it's the Brooklyn bridge?" Carlisle says with hope.  
" Yes I'm sure it's the Brooklyn bridge. Why?" Alice says finally speaking. 
" Dr. Mercer once told me that he was born in Brooklyn and that the bridge was his favorite place. I guess I should head to Brooklyn immediately." 
" I'm going with you Carlisle!"
"Are you sure you don't want to stay here with Bella Alice." 
" I'm sure. I need to go to Brooklyn." 
"Ok then let's go find Dr. Mercer."
