"And all I know is that I'm missing you. And I don't care 'bout no one else but you. I'm like, two steps from losing it....and one more step I disconnect..." -Disconnect, Kristinia DeBarge

Jordan’s P.O.V

Oh gosh. No no no no no no. Why the heck did I scream?! Oh dear gosh. Bad Jordan. Bad Jordan. Oh no, now he’s gonna-

“JORDAN!” A loud, rough voice yelled. That voice. I would never forget that voice. That was Jason’s voice, and I was sure of it.

I screamed once again and ran towards the stairs, like my life depended on it. Which at this moment, I felt like it did.

“COME HERE, B*TCH!” Jason yelled again.

I ran up the stairs faster and nearly got to the last step when I felt someone grab me by the ankles. I fell face first into the stairs, but I didn’t care. I was still desperately trying to get away.

“NATHAN! HELP ME! PLEASE!” I shouted. Jason grabbed me by the shoulder and sat me down on the steps, putting his hand on my mouth before I could shout again.

“Shut up!” he snapped. “If you want any chance of you or your friend living, I suggest you shut up right now.” he said lowly.

At that moment I thought again of the mop of red velvet hair on the floor.

Kat.

He hurt Kat.

This idiot HURT KAT.

I would never forgive myself now, to think that Kat could possibly not make it, and it’ll all be because of me bringing this jerk into all of our lives.

So I did what I was told to and shut up.

But I prayed deep down inside that someone at least heard me. It’s like the middle of the night and I screamed at the top of my lungs. Now unless everyone was an insanely heavy sleeper, THEY NEED TO GET UP RIGHT NOW AND HELP ME!

“Now go to the kitchen and clean up all that blood on the floor. I don’t want it to still be there after we leave. They could use it as evidence or whatever.” Jason said quietly as he literally dragged me down the stairs.

I rubbed the side of my head and stood up to face him as soon as we reached the bottom step, just processing what he said. “Leave? Leave? If you think I’m going ANYWHERE with you right now, you are-“

I stopped speaking when I saw Jason pull something out of his pocket and watched as it glistened because of the moonlight peaking through the window.

A knife.

“Now,” Jason smiled wickedly and ran his index finger along the edge of the knife slowly. He pointed it at me, which only made his evil smile grow wider. “What were you gonna say?”

I bit my lip and forced myself to no say anything stupid. Instead, I just nodded and started to walk towards the kitchen. “I’ll go clean up the mess.”

“Good. Now let me just go…check up on the rest of your friends. I haven’t seen them in quite a while.”

I cringed at whatever sinister thought he had in mind and walked towards the kitchen. I took a deep breath and flicked the light switch.

“Kat!” I immediately gasped and fell beside Kat’s limp body. Her eyes were partially closed and it looked like she was struggling to breathe. “Oh my goodness, Kat…”

Kat moved her arm a bit and grabbed my hand in hers. She clasped it as hard as she could, with all the strength she had left in her and forced a smile out. This wasn’t like Kat’s usual, happy smile.
