"What am I supposed to do, Karl, he's like.. I love him but.. what if he does like George and not me?" Sapnap said leaning against his locker with Karl standing right in front of him.
"Aww sapnap:( you don't know that, don't say that! I'm sure he loves you back!" Karl tried cheering sapnap up.
"thanks karl" sapnap smiled softly "but i won't believe that until i see it"
"then lets prove it!" karl said 
"hm?"
"yeah! i'll prove it to you that he likes you back! but i can't do that if.. you don't agree?" karl smirked, waiting for sapnap's answer. he finally does.
"fine, lets do this, BUT only if you don't do anything stupid" sapnap replied 
"DEAL!"

for the rest of the day at school, Dream and Sapnap didn't exactly talk to each other, and all that dream could hope for is that they'll talk normally again like usual after school. he really wants to know why is sapnap avoiding him, did he say something wrong? 
after school he tried to talk to sapnap or ask him to go home together, but sapnap went home first without telling him, so dream went home with george and his brother. 
"hey dream! you're going with sapnap again today, or is your mom picking you up?" george smiled at him 
"well uhm.. sapnap already went home first.. and my mom isn't picking me up today. i guess im going home by my self?" dream replied 
"oh, uh, what if you come with us instead?" george suggested 
"you sure? what about quackity?" 
"he won't mind it, right q?" george turned to quackity 
"huh? what me? oh yeah sure, i don't mind" quackity replied 
"oh, okay then" dream smiled back at george
the three walked home, first they go to dream's since it was closer to the school and since george and quackity lives together. dream thanked george and quackity then walked inside his house. then q and george walked to their house. 
"hey george?" q asked 
"hm?"
"do you like him? you act so different around him, like so- weirdly soft-" q asked 
"oh shut up, sapnap told me to be nice to him and gentle or something, earlier he told me to take dream home bcs he wanted to go home first. don't you dare think i like like him. i mean i like him as a friend, but not more" george explained 
"sapnap asked you to walk home with him? did he told you why?"
"hmm yeah, something about him hanging out with karl today" 
"karl?.. what is he doing with him?"
"how the fck am i supposed to know, and you don't have to worry, sapnap knows you and karl are dating, he would never try to get between you and him, plus he told me he likes someone else"
"okay then, and i'm not worried. ofc i know sapnap wouldn't do something like that-"
"mhm"

dream walked inside his room and put his bag down next to his desk, he sat down on the bed then laid down. he stared at the ceiling and continue thinking about sapnap. but before he could even start doing anything, there was a knock from the front door. and since no one was home, he had to answer it. 
dream walked back out of his room, down the stairs and to the front door. he opened it hoping it was sapnap, but it was only techno. dream didn't know why he would thought it was sapnap, techno waved at dream and dream answered with a simple "hi, techno" he lets techno inside then dream sat down on the sofa, and techno on t he couch.
"so did you go with sapnap earlier or?" techno asked 
"i went with george and quackity." dream answered quickly, he start fidgeting his hands
"quackity?- why the fck did you go with him" techno said 
"listen, george and quackity are brothers, and i know you and q had, uhm, problems. but that doesn't mean i have to hate q too" dream replied, feeling tired
"yeah2 i know, he's just. i don't like him" techno said 
"hm. so what do you want?"
"the hell you mean, 'what do i want', you said you wanted my help with confessing to him, and we agreed to meet up" techno replied 
"oh right" 
"k then, shall we start with this lovey dovey thingy?"
"shut up"
"how am i supposed to help if i shut up"
"just, start"
"well first thing first, i need to know what he likes"
"okay then.."

after hours of talking and playing around, the rivals decided to continue tomorrow or another day, since it was getting late and techno promised his dad to help keep an eye on tommy. techno goes home and dream stayed in his room, hoping for sapnap to come to his house or at least give him a note like always with his cute little bird. 
dream and sapnap had their own funny ways to communicate when they're not together, each one of them owns a bird and usually send notes and/or messages through or with that bird. usually sapnap would send dream the notes or messages first, but after today in the morning. dream didn't see any birds, or receive any note. 
dream decided to send the note first for today, he was worried. 
he took a paper and start writing some simple words, "hi sapnap, i haven't heard from you since this morning, are you okay, sap? :( " he wrote down. 
he walked towards the bird cage, where his bird is in obv, and took her out. "hello, daisy" he smiled and fed the bird a tiny seed. he place the bird down on the desk and gave her more seeds to eat before flying off. 
after she finish the seeds, she jumps onto dreams arms then on his shoulder. dream smiled and gave the paper to daisy. "you done, girl?" he said and the bird chirped before taking the paper and biting it, holding it with her beak. she flew off to sapnap's house.
now all dream can do is hope for daisy to come back safely and sapnap to reply. 
after minutes of waiting, daisy came back and landed on dream's window. dream smiled and gave daisy another seed and she ate it. he puts her back in the cage and start waiting for sapnap's reply. hoping, for sapnap's reply.
he wanted to just stop waiting and go to bed and take a rest, but before he could close the window, a bird start flying towards him. dream had the widest smile on his face.
"blue!" dream said excitedly, the bird land on dream's finger and gave him a note. dream said thanks and the bird flew back to where he came from. 
dream opened the note and reads it.
"hey dream, i'm sorry for today, i've been busy and i'm hanging out with karl rn. maybe we can hang out again tomorrow? sorry!! ily!!" dream reads
"karl? hm, usually even if he's hanging out with any of his friends he would've told me too." his eyes stoped on the word "ily" and yes it's normal to see the word 'ily' in any of sapnap's notes for dream, he always ends his notes with those words. and dream always, i mean always, keeps all the notes sapnap send to him.
for now, he's just happy that sapnap replied.
