It was the time of the evening, Neil and Avni were sitting on the couch on the terrace there was an awkward silence. Neil closed his eyes and keeps his hand on his head to avoid the sunshine. Avni saw that.
Avni: we can go to my room if you want, sir.
Neil: only if you are comfortable.
Avni smiled. She was feeling blessed but she was unaware of the reality. Avni gets up and they go. Neil and Avni entered the room. Neil looked around and saw Avni's luxurious room. Neil understood that she is living a royal life.
Avni: sir, sit.
Neil: Aa, Avni, call me, Neil. This is not the office and you are not my intern now so you can call me by my name.
Avni looked down.
Avni: yes, sir.
Neil looked away.
Avni: s, sorry.
Avni signed come. They sat on the couch. Both were in a dilemma about what to say. Avni was looking down. Neil was looking here and there. Avni's cat came into the room she saw Neil and jumped in Avni's lap. Neil flinched. Avni looked at Neil.
Avni: I, I am sorry.
Neil: no, no. It's ok. Is it your cat?
Avni: yes, she is Daisy.
Neil smiled.
Neil: Hi, Daisy.
Avni: shake a hand, Daisy.
Neil shakes his hand with Daisy. Avni caressed her fur.
Neil: she is really cute.
Avni smiled.
Avni: now, come on go and play.
Daisy makes an angry face. Neil smiled to see her.
Avni: you are a good girl. Right. We will go for a walk in the morning, ok.
Daisy keeps her head on Avni's shoulder. Avni was busy since morning so she did not play with her that's why Daisy was missing her.
Avni gets up and takes daisy to her cat tree vista. Neil was looking at her he scratched his head and sighed. Avni caressed her fur.
Avni: now play here, hmm. I have some work.
Avni turns to Neil, he smiled fakely to see her. Avni goes back to Neil while keeping the hair behind her ear. She sits.
Neil: you like cats?
Avni nods.
Neil: hmm, means I have to set a corner for her also in my room.
Avni looked at him.
Avni: if you want only then; else she can live here.
Neil: I will gladly welcome you both in my home and room.
Avni blushed. Neil smiled.
Neil: so what are your hobbies?
Avni: painting and reading books.
Neil: oh ok. What type of books do you read?
Avni: I like to learn about history so I read biographies and history books also I read novels.
Neil: ok.
Avni looked down and sighed.
Neil in mind: where am I stuck? What do I talk about? It is so irritating.
Avni: ab, can I ask you something?
Neil nods.
Neil: yes, ask.
