Chapter 14: Their conversation

                                    

                                          
Sujal went inside his house thinking about everything that Naina had said. He went upstairs ignoring Kashish and Piyush, but it wasn't intentional, he was deep into thinking about the things Naina had said. He went into his room, Veena saw him deep into his thoughts and went up to call him. 
Veena: Sujal, Lalit bhaisahab wait kar rahe hai, aa ja..
Sujal: Ji mumma, aaya..
Sujal went inside his bathroom and washed his face and went downstairs to talk.
Lalit: Sujal, kal uss sports complex se kuch log aane wale hai, unke sath ek team bana kar unke saare requirements ko sath rakhkar kaam karna hai. Kal 2 baje aane wale hai woh log, theek hai?
Sujal: Ji uncle, I'll take care of it..
Sujal left with that being said. He went inside his room and kept on thinking about everything Naina told him.

Sujal: Pyar chehre par muskurahat laata hai, ankho mai paani nahi....Kashish ke sath jab mai tha, tab chehre par muskurahat aati thi par....par ab..ab toh sirf aur sirf ankho mai paani aata hai jab bhi mai soochta hu usske baare mai..par..par kya yahi pyar nahi hai?
With this Sujal went to sleep. He was confused, he thought that crying for someone is love..but Naina said that if someone makes you cry, then it's not love..he was baffled, he couldn't understand anything and he went off to sleep.
The next morning, he got late to get up. He quickly got ready for office and left without having his food. Veena tried to stop him but he just left.

In the office, when he came he found Piyush talking with Naina. He felt angry when he saw them. He felt as if Piyush will take Naina away from him like he did with Kashish.
Sujal: Naina, I want to talk to you, it's urgent. Cabin mai abhi aao!
Sujal said this and went away. Naina and Piyush who were talking about what had happened between him and Sujal were shocked to see Sujal.
Piyush: Jao Naina, nahi toh pata nahi kya karega....
Naina: Piyush..I'll come..phir you tell me tumhare side ki poori story.
Naina left after said this to Piyush. She had understood that this was some kind of a big misunderstanding that had taken place between the two.

Naina entered Sujal's cabin. She saw that he was pacing here and there in his cabin.
Naina: Sujal, tumne mujhe bulaya? Kya baat hai? Sab theek toh hai na?
Sujal: nahi Naina! Kuch theek nahi hai!
Naina: Sujal..kya hua?
Sujal: Naina tum Piyush se baat mat karo!
Naina: Par kyu Sujal?
Sujal: Piyush tumhe bhi! (He tried to calm down) Piyush tumhe bhi mujhse dooor kar dega..pehele se hi maine tumhe apne aap se dooor kar diya hai, ab aur dooor mat jao Naina (He started to break down, he fell on the ground pleading Naina, tears started to flow) Mat jao Naina..please Naina..I need you..Naina please mujhse dooor mat jaao..
Naina saw how broken Sujal was. She knew that Sujal was a very sensitive boy, but she had never estimated that he was more sensitive than her. She felt bad thinking that Sujal loved Kashish but she knew it from the beginning that Sujal never loved her, she thought it's better to love him from a distance, see him happy with whomever. Naina picked him up and caressed his forehead and his cheek. She wiped off his tears. Sujal then held her hand and took to the area between his eyebrows and started crying.
Sujal: Naina..I can't loose you again..I can't Naina..I can't loose you too..
Naina's eyes started to tear up seeing him like this. She had never imagined to see him this sad and broken.
Naina: Sujal..Sujal..mai kahi nahi jaaogi..I'll always be there for you no matter what happens..Sujal..rona band karo..Piysuh agar mere se baat kare toh bhi kuch nahi hoga.. I'll always be there for you Sujal..
Sujal: Pakka na..Nainu..I really need you..I want you Nainu..please don't leave me..
Naina: Sujal..shant ho jao..koi dekhega toh kya kahega? Umm..Bodega ki Naina ne Sujal ko maara isiliye Sujal ro raha hai! Come on Sujal..stop crying..Suju..
He heard this after such a long time. Naina calling him Suju..he stopped crying slowly. He left Naina's hand and wiped his tears. He knew he could cry in front of Naina and she wouldn't judge him.
Naina: Suju, tum yeh kabhi mat bhoolna ki mai tumhari dost hu..no matter what happened that day..I'll always be your friend first..and you'll always have me next to you in every situation..
Sujal: Naina..Nainu..tum itni acchi kyu ho? I don't deserve such a good person in my life..
Naina: Sujal! Bas bhi karo! Kya bakwas kar rahe ho?! Suju, you deserve what you give.. tum apne poore dil se pyar karte ho, you deserve a love that never leaves you..you deserve a love that isn't afraid to come out and say I Love You Sujal..Suju..meri maano toh..let Kashish be..she doesn't deserve you..she doesn't deserve your love..your pure and true love..shayad she can't handle it..ussne tumhe dhoka diya aur tum? Tum ussi ke liye apne aap ko zinda maar rahe ho? Kyu aisa kar rahe ho tum Sujal? Kyu? You deserve a person who isn't okay with loosing you..
Sujal: Naina, shayad tum sahi keh rahi ho..par mai kya karu? Yeh dil mera maanta hi nahi..
He realised that this was the exact line Naina had told him on that dreadful day of their lives.
Naina: mai samaj sakti hu Sujal..mai jaanti hu tumhe kaisa lag raha hoga..par apne aap ko dard pahunchakar tumhe kuch hasil nahi hoga..pata hai, ek time tha jab mujhe bhi aisa hi laga tha..tumhare liye..uss 14th February ko maine tumhe apne dil ki baat batai thi..jo hua, woh ho gaya..maine tumhare tarah apne aap ko lagatar dard nahi diya Sujal..in fact I tried to move on..you should do the same..pehele bohot dard hoga..bohot takleef hogi..par phir dheere dheere seekh jaaoge. Suju, you have to do it for yourself..for me..for your mother..
Sujal: Tum sahi ho Naina..mai apni poori koshish karunga Nainu..I promise.
Naina: Ab mai chalti hu Suju..
Naina caressed his hair and forehead and then left his cabin.
Sujal looked at her leaving.. he thought.
Sujal: Maine kitni badi galti ki thi.. Naina ko apne se dooor jaane diya.. kyu kiya tha maine aisa? Kyu maine jaane diya Naina ko.. woh din aaj tak yaad hai mujhe..woh din jisko log pyar ka din bolte hai..maine Naina ke liye woh din kala aur dukh bhara din bana diya tha..mai itna ganda kyu hu? Kyu?!
