Screams erupted from outside the castle walls and I was completely alert.

That was him.

He was here.

He'd come for me.

Had he come for me? Or had he come for Celestia..? Oh please don't prove Celestia right, it'll kill me inside...

The walls were still shaking and the screams were slowly getting louder and louder with each second that passed. Questions kept flooding my mind as I tried to concentrate on my final shred of hope for Sombra to not be completely evil.

Where was Celestia? Where was Sombra? How long would this last? How many are dead? Will he be able to find me? Will he try to find me? What if I'm down here forever? What if-

The blood-covered limp body of a royal guard smashed through the cell's entrance door and I let out a yelp of surprise, jolting in my chains which made me bite my tongue to stop from crying in pain from the still healing wound. The miraculous hope that had previously filled me was now diminishing with every shooting pain that appeared. I slowly slumped in my chains, tears beginning to form in my eyes as more corpses were flung in front of my cell.

A celestial roar suddenly filled my ears as I saw the princess skid to a stop before me. She had her eyes trained on something outside, in the main castle. No side glances, no quick looks, Celestia's horn instead grew as bright as the sun and a deafening noise followed, the power of her magic clearly cutting past the stone and wood of Canterlot castle's walls. I then heard an equally enraged roar, however this one sounded just as hellish as the one used when the walls started shaking...

I weakly turned my head towards the cell's destroyed entrance. Was that him? He seems so close, I could almost touch him-

A void of power rushed past me, narrowly missing my body and cutting through the bars of my cell. Blood began to be furiously pumped through my body as I looked through the gaping hole in the wall to see a tiny flash of red.

His cape. That was his cape. Sombra is right there and I can't even tell him where I am!

"Give up Sombra! You'll never take this land! Never!" Celestia's voice bellowed from the hallway as I was almost blinded by another of her power surges.

"Why won't you just shut up and die like I want you to!" Sombra's magic shrouded me from the light of Celestia's power, swallowing it whole. "Where is she! Tell me and I'll leave!"

"Liar! You've manipulated my subject against me to use as a shield from my wrath but I will have none of it!" Celestia cried out, screaming as she threw her solar magic at Sombra with the intent to kill. "You will have nothing when my sun sets today you hear me? Nothing!"

As the fighting continued, I could only watch in awe of the raw power and terror of what might happen if it hit me. Insults and proposals were shouted back and forth between deadly rays of magic and if it weren't so life-threatening, it could almost be funny...

"Enough of this!" Sombra's voice shook me to my very core as I saw him send his final blow and I heard Celestia's cry of agony...

My mouth dropped open as silence finally entered my ears. Silence except for- laboured breathing. Laboured breathing that was getting closer.

I could see Sombra walking over to where I assumed Celestia lay. "Let's hope for your sake that I find what you stole from me before you wake up."

With that, he turned and began to look around. I carefully lifted my front hoof and banged it against the wall, gaining his attention. He galloped into the cells through one of the holes in the wall and made quick work of the door. He looked down at my torso and I could see his eyes visibly darken. I could hear Sombra mutter Celestia's name under his breath as he removed the chains from my hooves.

After Sombra helped me down from the wall, we stared at each other for what felt like an eternity.

His hoof finally came up to cup my chin.

"I despise the day I met you..." he whispered, trailing off as he pulled my head closer.

"Why..?" I uttered, my question barely audible.

"Because you make me insane..." he said, our muzzles touching.

"I thought you were already insa-"

Sombra cut me off, connecting our lips as sparks began to fly in my body.

It was probably from my wound but- I hoped it was from him...
