Daphs catches Marisol staring at her feet and nudges her. Once Marisol looks up at Daphs, Daphs mimes keeping her chin up.
     A few moments later and the third phone goes off. It's Rocco.
     "My turn," he says, glancing at each girl down the line. He sighs, "Honestly, I didn't know that I was still looking for a girl like this when I came in, but the magnetism I feel towards her is unignorable. In a world of embers, she's a roaring bonfire. My soul is drawn to her flames like a wanderer in the night. Oh, and she's really hot, like unbelievable. So, although I know this might come out of the blue –"
    Daphs looked at the other three girls in the line: Lottie, Marisol, and Hannah. She couldn't figure out which of them Rocco was talking about yet.
     "– I really want to see where things go with me and this girl," Rocco continues. "So, the girl I want to couple up with is," his eyes stop on Daphs, a smile spreading over his face, "Daphs."
     There's a collective intake of breath as all eyes flicker between Daphs, Bobby, and back to Rocco. Daphs holds her head high, her lips pursed, unsure of what to say or do. Bobby is staring hard at the ground, his expression full of annoyance, tongue pressing against the inside of his mouth. He has one fist clenched.
     Marisol nudges Daphs, urging her to move, so Daphs strides forwards, unable to look Rocco in the eyes, and sits between him and Bobby to the lightest scattering of applause.
     "Bold move, Big Man," Gary mutters on Rocco's other side.
     Daphs catches Bobby's eye as she sits and gives him a weak smile. He smiles back, but it's strained. He reaches out to brush his knuckles over hers.
     Lottie looks a little disappointed, Daphs has to admit. Maybe she had more riding on Rocco than Daphs thought. It must have been tough for her that her options all preferred Daphs, though Daphs doesn't want it to be like that. Lottie is undeniably beautiful, so it's hard to see her being knocked down once more.
     Daphs watches in silence as Noah whispers something in Hope's ear. She shakes her head, looking at the ground disappointed; Priya shoots Daphs a sympathetic smile.
     Another phone beeps. Bobby stands up, a forced smile on his face. "So, it's fair to say that tonight hasn't gone the way I planned, but I won't let that get me down. It gives me the chance to save someone who just hasn't had her chance yet. It's only been a couple of days, but I already know that this girl is one of the boldest and strongest women I have ever met. She's absolute flames and any guy would be so lucky to have her. I'm not about to spend all summer in the Villa without her, no way, Jose," he winks at Lottie. "So, without further ado, the person unfortunate enough to be locked in a friendship couple with me is Lottie. Come and get it, baby." He opens his arms for a hug from her as the other Islanders cheer. Lottie hugs him for a long minute until they both sit down together, the other Islanders still clapping for them.
     Daphs reaches over to Lottie, taking the chance to scoot a bit closer to Bobby, and says, "I'm so glad you're still here." Lottie takes her hand and smiles.
     "Me too," Lottie says, "I'm sorry how this has worked out. I know it isn't what you asked for." Lottie pointedly points between her and Bobby, and Daphs and Rocco. Daphs face flushes and she turns back in time to see Rocco turning away from them. Bobby nudges her to get her attention, and when she turns to him, he nods down to his open hand. Daphs takes it without hesitation.
     And then the last phone beeps.
     Gary gets to his feet. Marisol flicks her hair, smiling confidently at Gary. Hannah looks down at the ground and takes a deep breath, squeezing her eyes shut.
