Meeting New Bestie turned Crush

                                    

                                          
The campaign period had begun and it was a lot of fun for Leni to meet their supporters. Although it was tiring, it was also fulfilling to see so many people cheering for them. 
During one of the events where each candidate of their Senatorial Slate was introduced, Leni was stuck on the wings of the stage sitting down because of exhaustion. A beautiful woman spotted her and went over to her and introduced herself.
"Hi, Ma'am! You are Rep. Leni Robredo, right?" the woman asked, Leni was speechless and awestruck by this beautiful and elegant lady, but she managed to respond.
"Yes po! You seem familiar, you're very pret--" Leni was halted because she thought that she was talking too much.
The woman chuckled then said, "What was that, Ma'am?" Leni was a bit embarrassed about what she said.
"I was saying that you're very pretty." Leni managed to blurt out.
"Oh, thank you, Ma'am. You also look very beautiful I may say. I am Risa Hontiveros by the way." Leni was flattered by the sudden compliment of this beautiful lady named Risa.
Risa then offered Leni a small bar of Chocnut, "Uy, did you know this was my favorite?" Leni asked in temptation to eat the sweet treat that was offered to her.
"It is? Haha! I didn't know, I only bought a pack so that I'd have something to eat in between the events if I get hungry. I don't usually eat these sweet treats kasi nga my platform is Healthy Buhay." Risa joked.
They talked and joked around for a few minutes, but then it was time to start the program. One-by-one the host introduced the running Senators. Risa was the last one to be introduced just before Leni.
"Let us welcome, Sen. Risa Hontiveros!!" the host said. Then came out Risa. Leni looked at her while she was walking on the stage as if it was a pageant runway, she felt her body warming up and slightly sweating while her eyes followed Risa. When it was Leni's turn to come out, Risa looked at the side wings waiting for her new friend to come out. She was a bit confused that Leni was taking a while, but when she walked on stage, Risa can't help but feel her heart skip a beat. She didn't understand what is it that she's feeling but it felt nice. 
After the event, they both exchanged their numbers and since they were politicians and practically a public figure, they had no trouble lookinh for each other's social medias. 
They often hang out during their free times, sometimes they even go to each other's houses. They were like two peas in a pod, best friends, sisters by heart. Their bond was unbreakable. They also shared the same pain of losing their husbands too soon and the joy of being a single mom to their children. Little did they know that both of them had the same feelings about each other. 
Every time that there was a rally where both of them will attend, they will always be seen in each other's company. 
The election day came so fast that both of them were anxious if they'd make the cut. They were texting each other while watching the live broadcast of the vote tallies. 
Leni was about to break down to see that the votes in line with her name had been increasing until she passed the leading candidate. She was now on top, same for Risa, she was one of the Senators that had been elected. They both were so happy.
Risa decided that if she'd make the cut and same for Leni, she would confess her feelings about her. 
And the Universe seemed like that it decided that they were meant to be for each other. 
Leni had also felt something for Risa but she wasn't sure, marrying at the age of 22 didn't really allow her to explore to fall for anyone else since she considered Jesse to be the greatest love she had and their romance cannot be compared to anyone's. But also in fear of how  her daughters might react. But she was thinking to herself while watching the vite tallies rise for the both of them "Pag ako nanalo at kasama ka sa senado, aamin ako sayo."
And then the final vote was counted, both of them won. Aika, Trisha, and Jillian was jumping for joy while Leni just looked up and whispered into the air, "Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Jess. I love you." 
The three girls hugged and congratulated her for winning. She was now the Vice President of the Philippines for the next six years. Ang Risa was one of the Senators which made her smile so wide.
Now they both were planning on how tell each other how they felt.
