Platinum's POV
My friends and I all sat in the lounge together. Circe and Moon were there, as well as Katrina since she was going to take the exam as well. The battle exams worked differently from contests or performance exams. We had to wait to be called up for our exams. All of us had our full teams out of their Poké Balls and we're trying to figure out who we'd use.
For me, it was between Eevee, Charmander, Kricketune, and Phanpy.
Robert had to pick between Torterra, Riolu, Type: Null, and Axew.
For Jerron, it was Staravia, Monferno, Noibat, or Machamp.
Sebastian WANTED to use his newly caught Venusaur, but it still couldn't stand him, so he had to choose between Snivy, Tranquil, or Piloswine.
Apollo was pretty dead set on using his new Squirtle over Rockruff and Druddigon.
And Katrina only had two Pokémon but decided she'd use Cinccino instead of Mismagius.
Circe stood next to me as I tried to figure out who I'd battle with him.
"Hmmm..." I pondered.
Circe rested her hand on my shoulder and giggled. 
"Having a hard time?" She asked, and I sighed.
"I guess so, I'm just not sure who I should battle with." I told her.
"Char! Char!" Charmander then became super excited, and even breathed fire from its mouth.
"Charmander looks ready to go." Said Circe.
"Vee!" 
"Phan!"
"Krecccck!" Eevee, Phanpy, and Kricketune all agreed.
"Char!" Charmander said as its eyes lit up.
"So you wanna battle Charmander?" I smiled.
"Mander!" Charmander said.
I rubbed Charmander on the head. 
"Right! Then I'll be counting on you! This'll be our first battle together!" I said.
"Char!" Charmander happily said.
"So you're going with Charmander?" Robert asked me.
"Yup. Have you decided who you'll battle with?" I asked.
"Yeah, I'll be using Riolu. He's been training hard as of late." Said Robert.
"Rio!" Riolu cried.
"I'm gonna use Snivy." Said Sebastian. "I wanted to use Venusaur but uh..."
"Saur!" Venusaur said as it turned away from Sebastian.
"Return..." Sebastian sighed as he returned it to its Poké Ball.
"I'm using Machamp." Jerron said. "He's my strongest Pokémon, that's a sure fire victory."
"I'm battling with Squirtle." Said Apollo.
"What about you Katrina?" Moon asked.
"Well... I've only got 2 to choose from..." Katrina sweat dropped. "I think I'll use Cinccino."
"Attention all students in the battle program..." A voice through the schools intercom began to ring through the halls. "Battle exams will now begin, we will call 4 of you up at a time for your exam. Best of luck to you all." 
"Here we go!" Said Robert.
"Do you guys think any of us will be first?" Sebastian asked.
"I hope so! I'm excited!" Moon smiled.
