Shiva woke up and checked the time. 9:30 AM. He could sleep for a little while longer. The bed was calling out to him.

Until it dawned on him that he woke up to a cold bed. And to the realisation that he was supposed to be making breakfast for them, which clearly someone else was doing, given the loud mixer sounds.

He freshened up as soon as he could and stormed into the kitchen. He knew it was her.

"Tu kya kar rahi hai?" Shiva kept his hands on his waist.

"Breakfast bana rahi hoon!" Raavi chirpily said, grabbing the bananas and strawberries.

"Kiske liye? Sab bahar jaa rahe hai na aaj." He asked impatiently.

"Jaanti hoon. Lekin iss ghar mein abhi bhi tu aur mai hai. Hum dono ke liye toh banana padega na." She countered, chopping the strawberries into small pieces.

"Koi zaroorat nahi hai, mai kar lunga. Tujhe itne time se bol raha hoon, iss haalat mein-"

"Kiski haalat, Shiva?" Gaumbi asked, standing at the entrance of the kitchen.

"Kuch nahi, Gaumbi. Woh.... Mai iss chipkali se keh raha tha ki kabhi kitchen chodke aaram kiya kare. Proper rest important hai zyaada." Shiva replied, way too quickly.

"Theek hai. Raavi, hum nikalte hai. 2 din mein aa jayenge. Tum dono akele sambhaal lena, chalo bye."

"Bye! Have fun!"

Gautam left the two of them to finish whatever they were talking about, closing the main door of the house behind him.

"Shiva, ye sukhi oats ka dabba utaar de mere liye." Raavi asked, reaching on her tippy toes and stretching for the dabba at the topmost shelf.

"Kar raha hoon na!" Shiva reached for it himself and handed it to her. "Tu aaram kyu nahi karti?!"

"Shiva, tu aise behave karega na, toh sabko malum pad jaayega." She scrunched her nose at the hair falling in front of her face, and he tucked it behind her ear immediately.

"Toh? Pad jaane de malum, fikar hoti hai, kuch ho gaya toh-"

"OFFO!" Raavi stomped her feet and turned to face him, "Shiva, mai 2 mahine pregnant hoon, 2!" She argued, holding two fingers up in front of his face.

"Aur ye baat hume 2 din pehle pata chali hai, 2!" Shiva mimicked her, swatting her hand away.

"Aur pichle 48 ghanto se tune mujhe satake rakha hai! Kuch nahi hoga, thoda breakfast bana hi sakti hoon." She argued, turning back to put her breakfast contents in the mixer.

"Tu meri baat sunti hi nahi hai!"

"Baccha mere pet mai hai ki tere? Calm down, I know what I'm doing." She huffed, stuffing a piece of sliced banana in his mouth.

"Hum kyu ghar waalo ko nahi bata rahe?"

"Kyuki mujhe surprise karna hai." Raavi patted his cheeks and smiled, turning the mixer a few times. "Also, mujhe gharwaalo ki shakal dekh ke badi entertainment milti hai, jab tu khamakha meri tension leke mere aas paas bhatakta rehta hai."

"Zara sa bhaari saaman uthane nahi deta, ghar ka koi kaam karne nahi deta, AND apne haathon se breakfast banata hai sab ke liye, lekin mai jaanti hoon woh mere liye hai. Sab ki shakal pe 12 baj jaate hai." She chuckled, pouring the smoothie into 2 glasses.

"Smoothie piyega?" Raavi smiled at him, her cheeks getting chubby as she handed over the mug to him.

"Kaunsi?" Shiva grumbled, annoyed at being defeated by his wife but already knowing the answer.

"Strawberry."

Shiva made a face, before taking the mugs and putting them on the counter, pulling her closer to him.

"Sun na." He smiled so softly at her, like his whole world resided in her, which was technically true. "Tu bhi ek dum strawberry lag rahi hai. Tujhe khaa jaau?" He pointed  at her cherry red salwar kameez.

The way he looked at her, it almost made Raavi melt. Almost.

"Chal dramebaaz," Raavi pushed him back a little, thrusting the mug back in his hand, "Mujhe pata hai kyu teri romantic switch flip hui. Strawberry se koi allergy nahi hai tujhe, tujhe bas pasand nahi hai. Ab chup chaap pi, aur koi option nahi hai tere paas." She smiled ever so sweetly at him, patting his cheek in victory.

Shiva stuck his tongue out at her, his plan failing miserably as he followed her into the living room. She was right. He didn't want to have strawberries. They tasted so.... blegh.

"Raavi!"

"I won. Now drink up."

"Sun na! Deal karte hai."

"Nahi. Enjoy the smoothie, Shiva!"
