This has resulted in a chapter that was written very early in the morning. It's half the size compared to normal, but I did just update a bit ago so I dont care :D

Shota picked up the letter on the floor as the door closed behind him.

He opened it too see he had gotten first in the class and would be expected to go in tomorow. A wave of relief and joy came over him. He would be a Shinobi. Mono was yelling in excitement talking about all the plans they had for the two once they started.

The lights were still off in the house.

It was quite.

Kakashi was long gone by now and there was only Shota and Mono left.

The boy walked along the silent halls, not making a sound.

Something was wrong.

If Shibito was back then he would have read the letter. Crushed Shota in a hug as soon as he got through the door.

Someone was here, but it wasn't him.

The door into Shota's room was closed.

It shouldn't be closed. He never closed it.

He griped the scarf around his neck tightly.

Mono was quiet.

Hand on a kunai from his thigh holster, he nudged the door open with one foot.

The moon shone through the open window as he stepped in. Bed still unmade, cloths on the floor, book open on the beanbag and his notes organized on his desk. A chill breeze came through the window as the curtains were still not back up.

His wardrobe was open just a crack.

There it was.

He turned to the wardrobe slowly and Mono did as he asked.

As soon as his back tuned from the bed Mono confirmed it.

A man stepped out of the shadows opposite the wardrobe in Shota's blind spot.

They didn't have a blind spot, not when they were together.

Shota jumped on the door of the wardrobe and flipped over the man who had reached out to grab him. Cloth wrapped around the man's hand as Shota landed. He pulled.
