It was now night and as luz explained how to play 'monopoly' to willow and Gus you decided to look around the house trying to see if there's any secrets that the house holds, you walked into a room with a floor mattress and a picture frame right next to it "this must be luz's room" you picked up the picture frame and looked at the photo, there was luz and right next to her was her mom. You stared at the picture for a couple of minutes "must be nice..." you mumbled before hearing a knock outside the window, putting back the picture frame you hesitantly walked over before opening finding nothing or that's what you thought.
"So you where having a sleepover and didn't invite me? How mean" the golden guard huffed and shook his head.
"What the hell!" You glared at him before realizing he didn't had his golden mask on like usual, you inspected every little detail he had from the chip of his left ear to the bags under his eyes, his gaped tooth and the scar on his right cheek. You heard him chuckle a bit before saying "like what you see?" He raised a brow and smirked "I rather like you with the mask on" you replied looking away from him feeling you're cheeks burning up a bit "why are you following me anyway" crossing you're arms and still not looking at his handsome face- UGLY- I meant ugly face.
"Cause I'm bored" he shrugged and seated himself on the windowsill, his staff suddenly turned into a red cardinal. He lent out his hand as the bird flew onto his hand gracefully landing on it, he gave the bird a soft smile before patting his head gently. As his hair softly swayed in the gentle breeze and as the moon lit half of his face you couldn't help but stare at him, face burning up as you're heart started racing. You looked down at the floor and started fiddling with you're fingers before someone yelled out you're name "y/n! Come here and eat!" You looked back up seeing no one at the windowsill with the window still open swaying in the breeze "y/n!" You walked at the window before closing it "coming!" you walked to the door before closing the door behind you.
You walked to the dining table and grabbing a plate of food, walking to the others at the living room. You sat down on the couch watching the luz, willow, and Gus play with hooty and king. You remember what happened a couple minutes ago the golden guard without his mask sitting on the windowsill, face heating up again. You shook you're head getting rid of the golden guard in you're head "you ok?" Luz sat next to you looking a bit worried, you looked back at her with a reassuring smile "yeah, I'm fine" she noticed you're mild blush across you're face, her mouth slowly forming a smirk "looks like someone's got a crush~" she teased nudging you're arm "w-what! No way I've got a crush on that golden dweeb!" You placed you're finished plate on the table and huffed before hearing a gasp beside you "you like the golden guard!—" you quickly covered her mouth with you're hand and felt something slimy and soft, retracting you're hand back with saliva on it "eww! Luz!" You quickly wiped you're hand on her shoulder as both of you laughed.
You yawned and stretched out you're arms "you should get some rest" luz said before standing up and grabbing a pillow and blanket then tossing it to you. You nodded and started laying down on the couch looking up at the ceiling "alright kids get to bed" you hear a woman say assuming that she was eda the owl lady before she turned off the lights with a clap. You felt you're eyes slowly closing and started to drift into sleep you couldn't help but dream of the golden guard without his mask right next to you as you two sat on a hill watching the sun slowly rise in the distance, he looked at you and smiled.
You looked back at him surprised "h-huh!? Why are you everywhere!" As you stood up everything around you became pitch black except for the golden guard who slowly started walking to you with his arms open "y/n I know you like me, you don't have to worry about rejection because I love you" he started getting closer but you pushed him away.
"so that's how you wanna play then..." His eyes suddenly turned black as black goop dripped out so did his mouth "pushing people away just like how you pushed you're mother away"
you glared at him before trying to punch his face but failing miserably.
"you're mother just wanted to help but no you pushed her away because of how stubborn you are..."
you tried running away but he just stuck to you like glue "leave me alone!" You yelled at him and covered you're ears.
"I said leave me alone!" Someone in the distance yelled you walked to the yelling as you got there you stared at you're past self and you're mother in the human realm. "No..." you quietly said.

"But honey-" you're mother tried to reason with you're past self.
"Why can't you understand! I don't wanna go to school! I don't wanna study! I just wanna live my life freely!" You're past self took her bag and started running out the door as you're mother chased after them in the rain. "Wait! Y/n!"
"No! Mom please stay inside!" You tried to move but couldn't you could feel you're eyes tearing up "mom! Go back!"
You're past self was crossing the road not looking where you where going suddenly hearing a car honk, looking at the car that was driving to you. Accepting there fate not moving but suddenly...
You're past self where roughly pushed onto the sidewalk, looking back there eyes widened "m-mom...?" There eyes filling with tears as they ran to there mother laying on the road not moving an inch.
You tried looking away but couldn't, staying quiet as you watched.
You're past self tried shaking you're mom awake "m-mom! Th-this isn't funny! Please wake up!" They kept trying to wake them up but couldn't "mom! Please...Wake up..." tears ran down there cheeks or are those just rain drops.
"I'm sorry... I wouldn't listen!... if I just did listened to you-... th-this wouldn't... have happened.." they hugged there mothers body as ambulances drove there "this is all my fault..." they stood up as they watch medics take there mom's body inside an ambulance, they looked back to there house and walked into there room opening a drawer. In it was a small box, opening it revealing a small stopwatch necklace.

You slowly reached to you're neck where the stopwatch had been but was taken by emperor belos a long time ago.
They put on the necklace and looked at ther self in the mirror "don't worry mom... I'll study and go to school just for you... I love you..." they gave out a small smile before sighing. Then everything started fading to black.
You just stood there not knowing what to do until you saw a light in the distance, as you ran to it you're feet suddenly was slowly sinking into the ground but you kept running. You saw emperor belos with the stopwatch before giving it to the golden guard. He slowly looked at you before you could speak a hole then opened underneath you, as you fell into the dark abyss black goop started engulfing you. The last thing you saw was the golden guard trying to save you.
