Chapter 4

                                    

                                          
I followed the man to a new room as I looked around and saw all the many games and toys he had, but nothing interested me. 
Alexander's pov
I watched her; she looked so beautiful. I don't know what came over me, but she made me want to keep her safe and love her. I looked at her beautiful brown eyes like mine, but they weren't as dark; they were like a fawn colour. I looked at her closely as we were looking for a game to play, but it looked like she wasn't interested in anything but then I saw her pick up a small bear and hold it close. I guess she's been through a lot. I wanted to murder her parents for what they've done to her, but she looked so cute right now. 
Ashley's pox 
I looked all over as I felt a pair of eyes on me, but then I found a bear and held it close; it felt like a friend to me, like it was saying with those black eyes to kill it. So I did I ripped its head off. 
Alexander's pov
I watched as she stared at it, then she did something I thought she would never do and ripped its head off then she went over to another and did it again till all the stuffed animals that my parents had bought for my children and me that they thought I was going to have soon would share. I went over and held a tight grip on her left shoulder "why did you do that" I asked, "cause they begged me to kill them, so I did" she said, "but they don't talk" I said, "yeah but they said it in their eyes" she said. Man, this girl is crazy; what did I get myself into? Oh yeah, I wanted to mentor someone, and she has no family or home. "Well, okay, what do you want to play," I asked, "hmm can I just be left alone," she asked, "no now choose cause if I do, it will not be fun," I said, "fine let's play sorry or checkers or monopoly I don't want to play," she said. I looked at her and saw the tiredness. I mean, we did do a lot; all I wanted to do was cuddle next to her "fine, you can go to sleep" I said. She smiled that beautiful smile that made me smile as I led her back to the room I had Carson put her in. 
Ashley's pov 
I didn't want to play; all I wanted was to sleep or get out of this place. When he was like this, he made me feel safe, like I wanted to be close to him. I want to find a new home, but I don't want to disobey Alexander; he's been nice to me besides that one minute, but, weirdly, he's growing on me. 
He walked me back to that one room I was in before as he smiled at me "okay, get some sleep, and Carson is watching you. I half to take care of some work business and find a school for you, so please don't try anything or there will be consequences" he said. I just nodded as he opened the door and let me in "wait!" I exclaimed, "what is it," he asked, "what if I have to use the bathroom," I asked, "then I'll get you a walkie talkie, and you can communicate to Carson, but no funny business," he said. I just nodded as I went in as he left to do whatever. 
Alexanders pov 
I walked away from her room; for now, I have got to get her off my mind though she is very distracting. I walked up to Carson "make sure she doesn't leave, and I gave her a walkie talkie in case she needs to use the bathroom, so please take care of her" I said. "Of course, mister Phillips's, where are you off to," he asked, "I have to go check on the business and check on some things," I said, "okay sir," he said. I then grabbed the keys to my Cadillac to one of my favourite places not. 
I drove for half an hour before I got to my work; the vineyards aren't here in California; they are in Italy, but I have another home there that my family lives in, but I decided to stay here close to my birthplace and where the company building was. I parked my car then walked inside to my office.  
I walked in and went to the elevator, and clicked the top floor where my office stood over the city. I walked into my office as I saw my lovely accountant come in; even if he was a man, he was handsome. "So what do I have today? I have to get home soon," I said, "ooh, who got you in a twist in the pants, Alexander? You just have a meeting with the team then just some paperwork to fill out, sir," he said, "okay sounds good," I said. I sat at my desk as Tom set some paperwork on my desk as I grabbed my pen and started to read. 
I finished all the paperwork in record time like usual companies wanting to buy our wine and others wishing a share. Still, no one would get any of my wine unless we had a meeting, but now it was time for my appointment with my sales and other parts of the company. 
I walked to the big conference room and walked in as I took my seat at the front of the table and watched all the rest of my company come in the room "okay, let's get this over with what's the news you wished to discuss with me" I asked, "our sales are up" she said, "like nothing new so what else is new" I asked. "Wine flakes wish to make a deal with you, sir," he said, "no not unless I have a chat with him," I said, "of course sir," he said, "anything else," I asked. The room was silent as no one else spoke, "yes our wine needs help in Italy there are not enough hands," another girl said, "okay then I will take care of it meeting adjourned," he said. The whole room nodded as I grabbed my keys and travelled home. 
I came home as I heard the home in silence. "Carlos? Ashley?" I asked. I walked around the house till I found them in the living room; the tv was cracked, the sofa was sawed in half, the lamps were broken, and the coffee table was cracked, but in the middle was Carlos and Ashley cuddled close to each other. Unfair, I guess I'll have to buy new things, but it's okay; I wonder what happened here. 
A/n: hi guys, I'm back with another chapter. I hope you enjoy I was able to write two chapters in one day, yay! I was able to get a lot done in one day; no progress in Pokémon legends arceus but lots of writing, hehe
