Iris P.O.V (It's the next day in the book)
They kissed.
It was fast, but it felt whole. (Whatever that was supposed to mean...)
"I- I'm so sorry," Zhan told Iris.
"Don't be," Iris replied.
Zhan smiled. "I've liked you since the day I met you."
Iris didn't know what to say about that. This was all happening so fast. But he had a look in his eyes- something sincere... something whole... so she told him the awkwardest thing possible. "So uh- does that mean we're a- thing?"
"Only if you want to be," Zhan replied with a wink.
"Yeah- yeah I would love that."
Zhan's smile grew wider. "Well, I'd better get going."
"Bye," Iris said.
"Bye," Zhan replied.
And with that, Zhan left. After he was out the door, Iris grabbed her jacket and decided she was going to go to Annalise's shop and tell her what happened.
~Time Skip~
Once Iris got there, she didn't hesitate to go in.
"Hey, Iris! Or should I go with Queen Iris?" Annalise called.
"Please call me Iris. Queen Iris makes me feel old." Iris replied with a smile.
"Sure," Annalise said, returning her smile, "So, what brings you to my amazing shop?"
"Something happened between me and Zhan..." Iris started.
Annalise's eyes went wide and she squealed.
"Annalise!" Iris hissed, giggling.
"Somones in looooovvvvveeeee!" Annalise told Iris
Iris' cheeks became so red, she was surprised she hadn't turned into a tomato.
"So... are you in a relationship?" Annalise asked, smiling evilly.
"Um- yeah... I think?" Iris responded, hiding behind her hair so Annalise wouldn't see her blushing more.
"OoOoOOooOooOooO," Annalise teased.
Iris sighed.
"Was he your first kiss?" Annalise asked, sorting through a rack of dresses.
"Um, first how do you know we ki- never mind. And that would be a no."
"Who was your first kiss?" Annalise wondered.
Iris did not want to tell her that she kissed her best friend... but she decided she didn't have to tell her who Dex was.
