Toph was getting annoyed with Aang begging her to train him and decides to just get rid of him.
"Look, if you don't leave right now I'm calling my bodyguard!" The blind girl says loudly, causing Team Avatar to panic(A/N: yes, that's what I will refer to them as when I'm talking to them as a whole).
"Wait wait wait, please just listen to me!" Aang says wile panicking.
"Naruto! Naruto help!" Toph shouts while acting like she was in danger.
"I've been here the entire time Toph." A tired voice says from behind Team Avatar, causing their heads to snap in the direction it came from, seeing a young blonde man, seemingly around the same age as Katara and Sokka.
"What the... where did you come from?" Asks Sokka while reaching for his sword.
"My name is Naruto, and as I said, I've been here the whole time, you just didn't notice me when you hopped over the wall." The blond says bluntly "Anyways, you should listen to them Toph, honestly seems like a good idea."
"What!? Why!?" The 13 year old asks angrily.
"Wait, why are you helping us? Shouldn't you be attacking us, since we're intruders?" Katara questions in surprise.
"Katara! We shouldn't be arguing against him helping us!" Sokka says in shock.
"First off, Toph, they're offering you the thing you've wanted most for the entirety of the time we've known eachother, freedom to travel and do whatever you want without your father stopping you. And as for your question, waterbender, I'm not the traditional bodyguard, sure, I was hired to keep Toph safe, but that's the only similarity between me and traditional bodyguards, I truly have Toph's best interests in heart, unlike her father. I'm telling her to listen to you for 3 reasons, 1, because traveling the world with no rules to bind her is the thing that Toph has always wanted the most for as long as I've known her, 2, if she stays here she'll never be allowed to be herself, and 3, if the 2 of us leave with you then it'll piss off her dad, and I hate him."
"Wait, the 2 of you?" Aang asks with a confused tone in his voice.
"Well yeah, if I just let her leave and stayed behind then there's no way that I won't get sent to prison. Plus, ever since I invented it I've wanted to see if the Avatar could learn lavabending." The blond says with a shrug.
"Lavabending? What's that?" Everyone but Toph asks at once.
"What does it sound like it is?" Naruto and Toph sarcastically ask in unison.
"Yeah, that was kinda obvious, wasn't it?" Katara says sheepishly.
"Okay, but seriously, what do you mean by Lavabending, I've never heard of it before, and what do you mean by 'I invented it?'" Aang asks with a puzzled look on his face.
"Well, it's bending lava, as the name implies. And as for me inventing it, I'm an earthbender, but I've also studied the other bending styles almost religiously, Lavabending was created by applying the principles of firebending to my earthbending, and I can honestly say that no other style of bending can compare with the sheer raw power that Lavabending possesses." The blond says proudly "anyways, Toph, are we going with them or not, it's your choice, all I can do is protect you and give you advice."
The blind girl thinks it over for a second before shrugging and turning to Aang "fine, we'll go with you, but I want my belt back, and we can leave whenever we want. Deal?"
"Deal!" Aang says enthusiastically.
