The whole hotel was decorated beautifully for the wedding festivities. In the daytime, the decorations done with different sorts of flowers would make the venue look stunning while at night the lights would take charge and the venue would look mesmerizing.
The whole environment around was enthusiastic for everyone present there but for him. His eyes roamed in the surrounding now and then to spot that familiar face. He was relieved having not encountered it until now but he knew he has to face him some time.
People were dancing in the Mehendi ceremony that was being held, some were singing as well while others just chose to click pictures. It was like a small reunion for those college friends. This was the first wedding of their circle of friends.
Viaan held his camera up and kept on clicking pictures. That was the only thing he has loved apart from travelling and exploring places. Some people posed for the goofy pictures while others were captured without notice. He held the camera down and smiled while looking into it.
His gaze roamed around the place again and he moved the camera to his eye. He adjusted the lens and put a finger on the button to click but someone ruined the perfect angle by getting into the frame by standing in the middle.
He sighed and moved the camera down as he looked at the figure in front with annoyance. "Can you please move to the side?" He asked politely.
The girl looked back and he was taken aback by that face. He didn't expect her to be here. Why would he? There was no reason at all. Confusion took over his face while not understanding this coincidence. His stare stayed on her for long.
She wore a light green coloured lehenga. Her nose ring was different this time but it suited her and made her look different from the first time as well as from the rest. Apart from that she had a bindi, a thin neckpiece and a pair of pearl earrings. Her hair was tied in a low messy bun and some of the strands ended up on her face.
The kajal that she wore in her eyes made them look hot. Her bangles made a soothing sound when she moved to face him. Her makeup was suiting her face well and a frown remained on her face as well.
"Is there anything special about this view?" She asked and raised her eyebrows. He scoffed. "You still need to learn manners," he said while walking close to her.
She kept her hands to the side so the Mehendi won't be wiped off to her clothes. "Sorry? Do we know each other?" She asked. He raised his eyebrows this time in disbelief.
"Are you seriously asking me that after barging into my cab and making me change my route and basically wasting A lot of my time in Pune?" He asked and laughed.
She kept frowning at him. "I guess you are mistaken," she said. He laughed again and shook his head slightly.
"You wore a red dress. Is that fine or do I need to add more to describe it well?" He asked. She rolled her eyes and moved her gaze to the side. He continued when she doesn't speak anything ahead, "I wanted to take you home but you asked me to book a cab to the airport."
