=================================

Y/n's alarm woke her up to start another annoying day. If you had 6 other sisters, you wouldn't want to wake up either. Everyone in her family has something called the Cadou in their blood thanks to their grandfather. Everyone in the family, except Y/n's grandmother and mother have powers. All they have is traces of the Cadou in them allowing a longer life and regeneration.

The eldest is Olivia, who has the power to manipulate and create ice.

The second eldest is Layla, who has the power to manipulate and create fire.

The third eldest is Nora, who has the power to manipulate and create water.

The fourth eldest is Naomi, who has the power to read minds.

The fifth eldest is Sophie, who has the power to make people obey her for a short period of time.

The sixth eldest is Melody, who has the power to mimic voices and any sounds.

Then there is Y/n, the seventh eldest and the youngest. Her power is that her eyes change colors depending on what her feel/mood is.

Because of that Y/n's father is disappointed in her but her grandparents and mother love her unlike her father apparently. Y/n's father was very strict with Y/n but is sweet to the other 6 sisters. This bothered Y/n a lot and her mother. It shouldn't be that way. You shouldn't favor your kids and yes you will love them each their own but to neglect one because of fate is a terrible thing to do. Y/n put on her dress and went downstairs to be met with her sisters already eating. Y/n took her seat and looked down at the food on her plate.

"Well, you still seem to be tired." Melody said poking Y/n.

"What gave that away?" Y/n asked the dark chestnut-haired girl.

"Your eyes are light blue." Melody said in a teasing tone.

Y/n rolled her eyes and started to eat her food. No one really said anything for breakfast, and everyone just waited for their father to show up and tell them what to do for today.

"Good morning girls." Y/n's mother said entering the dining hall.

"Good morning mother." The girls said in unison.

Y/n's mother took a seat at the head of the table. Y/n's father walked into the room and the tension in the room was suffocating. All the girls were on edge and in fear of what their father was going to say.

"Good morning girls. Today I want you all to practice more with your abilities except you Y/n. You will help your grandfather clean the library. After you are done eating, I expect you all to get on that." Y/n's father said.

"Yes father." The girls said in unison.

Y/n's father took a seat and started eating. Y/n was the first one done despite being the last one to the table. She just didn't want to be near her father. It was that simple. Y/n headed to the library where her grandfather was waiting for her.

"Grandfather? Did you eat all ready?" Y/n asked sitting next to him.

"I did yes but what's wrong?" Y/n's grandfather asked putting the book he was reading down in his lap.

"Hmm? Nothing is wrong grandfather." Y/n said looking down at the floor.

"Y/n, I've known you since you were born and I know when your eyes are grey, something is wrong. So please tell me what is wrong?" Y/n's grandfather said wrapping his arm around Y/n pulling her into him.

"It's father... I just wish he would love me like he does with my sisters. No matter how hard I try I can't be good enough for him. He casts me out and acts like I'm a maid and a burden to this family. All because my eyes change colors depending on my emotions." Y/n said leaning more into her grandfather.

"I think it's time for me to tell you how you got your powers and why it runs in the family." Y/n's grandfather said standing up.

"We will talk and work." He added.

"Okay?" Y/n said confused.

Y/n's eyes changed from grey to yellow.

Y/n started picking up books and putting them back to their spots.

"50 years ago, I was in a living in a village that I was born in and it's not far from here but thanks to my barrier we are protected from ever being seen or discovered. Anyway, that village is ruled by four lords and a woman named Mother Miranda. That village had a dark secret that I was forced to find out in the most painful way possible. Miranda took me at the dead of night when I was 17 years old, the same age you are now and used me for her experiments. She gave me something called the Cadou, and it gave me the abelite to create barriers. After that she spared my life, and I left the village as soon as I could. Then I met a woman who would be your grandmother and that took off and we got married and built this house before we had your father. Since I had the Cadou your father was born with in in his blood like you and your sisters. That's how you all got your powers. I believe that your powers are more than what your father thinks. Just because your eyes change colors based on your emotions doesn't mean that it's the only thing you can do. Your powers will just take time to flourish." Y/n's grandfather said.

Y/n was surprised by what she just got told. While Y/n was putting the books away she wondered what the village has become now. Y/n finish putting the books away and cleaning the place Y/n decided to head back to her room. Y/n ran into her father while walking down the hallway and Y/n tensed up. Y/n's father looked at her with cold eyes and scoffed.

"You are such a disappointment to this family."

Y/n stood there frozen as her father pushed past her. Y/n has been taking her father's insults since she was 8 years old, and she couldn't take it anymore. Y/n ran to her room with tears streaming down her face. Y/n grabbed her satchel and placed her diary in it along with her pin and she took a small family photo of her and her sisters.

Y/n decided to wait till it was night to leave. Y/n walked carefully down the hallway and made it to the front doors of the house. In the dead of night Y/n was gone, she ran out of the barrier and into the forest. Y/n's eyes were still grey slightly turning white little by little. Everyone in the family knew that if Y/n's eyes ever matched the color of her dress, something was terribly wrong. While Y/n was running aimlessly she tripped over a tree root sticking out from the ground causing her to roll down a hill and now Y/n was in a place full of mist.

"Oh, where am I?" Y/n questioned.

Walking through the mist Y/n found an elevator and took it up to be greeted with a house that had a waterfall behind it. It was the most beautiful thing Y/n has seen in a while. Y/n walked up to the house feeling nervous which caused her eyes to go teal. Y/n walked up to the door and the door suddenly opened on its own. Y/n was so unsure about walking in there that she turned around and was about to leave but an icy cold hand slapped itself around her mouth and a syringe got jabbed into Y/n's neck. Y/n's vison went black, and she collapsed into a woman's arms and that woman dragged Y/n into the house.

The next morning Y/n's mother noticed that Y/n wasn't at the table for breakfast. Y/n's mother went up to Y/n's room and knocked on her door.

"Y/n dear? It's time to eat." Y/n's mother called out.

After getting no response Y/n's mother opened the door looked around before suddenly screaming alerting everyone. Everyone came running to Y/n's other.

"Alice! What's wrong?" Daniel asked his wife.

Alice suddenly turned to Daniel with a very angry look and said,

"This is all your fault!"
