IF I WAS A CARTOON, MY EYES WOULD HAVE HEARTS IN THEM RIGHT NOW, SHINING BRIGHT at all of these clothes. I didn't even know where to start.

And, yes, I did take my time. It was Alex's fault for dragging me here. We needed to retain a positive image in the public eye. I understood he wasn't nagging me for taking so long when his name came to me. I took a look around the store and realized he wasn't going to be close. I found myself roaming around aimlessly in search of him. I immediately recognized him because of his gleaming black leather jacket. I approached him and poked him on the shoulder. Before I snapped back and wrinkled my brows, his black eyes met mine and put me in a dumb daze.

''What are you doing?'' I asked, crossing my arms over my chest as he smiled a crooked smile at me.

''Doing anything else but be around yeh'' The charm was lost when he made it more than clear that it was a sarcastic crooked smile. Of course.

''I should have just left your ass here'' I rolled my eyes at him, stepping away from his tall frame just a little bit to avoid more tension if that was possible at this point.

"Finally, Elaine, a good suggestion," he answered, smiling. When a certain warmth around my waist left me speechless, other than a gasp, I was creating a decent response to that other than an eye roll or a dissatisfied groan.

''I hate yeh so much but I need to keep my image up and it's not going down because of yeh'' Alex mumbled through pursed lips before these were moving on mine. For a few seconds, I was half-paralyzed, but his words resonated in my memory, and I remembered what he meant. I wrapped my arm over his neck and drew him closer.

''I hate kissing you'' I babbled against his lips, hearing the flash of cameras.

"Not any more than I do," he answered, his powerful arms squeezing me even harder.

After more angry mumbling and kissing, we drew the curtain on our little spectacle. I smiled but didn't let it touch my lips. He did, too, but I sensed the anguish. I noticed a few things. One of them astounded me. One of them didn't.

What didn't shock me, was the small group of people huddled as they had watched our show-off. But what did shock me, was where we were standing in front of. The smiles of the people that took pictures said it all. I could already visualize the articles flooding.
