I remember waking up oddly enough at six. I always woke up at six in the morning though. I prepared what I was going to bring to the daycare. Everyday I brought cleaning wipes or any sort of non toxic cleaner to the daycare so the daycare employees didn't have to use the ones provided by fazbear entertainment. It always bothered me how they weren't careful with which cleaning supplies that they bought. The idea of children putting harmful chemicals in their body bothered me to no end. Other days, I would bring in new books for the children to hear at reading time and then there were some days I'd supply the daycare with new crafting supplies. We often ran out before the end of the month and if it weren't for my concern, Sun and the kids would be needlessly bored. It stressed Sun's circuits whenever the kids became bored. It stressed everyone out really. Without the crafts most children became frustrated without their outlets to express themselves. All of the employees no matter the breaks taken would become tired. One day skipping arts and crafts gave the daycare a tense and miserable atmosphere.

Today however, I decided upon bringing several different books for the children to vote on and supplies specifically to make homemade stickers! I knew the stickers would bring joy to everyone. I mean who doesn't like stickers?

On my way out the door I considered stopping to grab sun breakfast but shook my head upon realization. He just seems so human. Sun is always warm. It never made sense to me but after working there for four years I grew used to it. He is full of emotion and stressed whenever things became too much for him. He loves the kids and takes every day working with everything he's got. If that wasn't human, I don't know what is. I didn't realize I was already in the mall's parking lot until I decided to take a break from practically speed walking my way there. Sure I had other hobbies but my favorite thing to do was spend time with Sun and the kids. It was mine and his job to protect them from any harm. Fazbear entertainment clearly didn't care of the well being of customers. That didn't mean anything right now because as long as we protected the kids, nothing would happen to them under our supervision.

Walking through the huge wooden castle like doors, I smiled as I watched sun spin around before landing in the bacteria ridden ball pit. It always surprises me how he can stand to be in such a disgusting place considering how clean he likes things. I guess his fun loving nature is just stronger than his need to be clean. There became a reason why I was always the one cleaning up any glitter messes the children made though.

"Heya (Y/n)! Another new day to play!" Sun spoke cheerfully.

"Yep another day to bring smiles to the children!" I sat on the white desk, kicking my dangling feet and pulling the books and supplies from my bag before continuing, "Sunny, I brought the children books about the stars! We'll be making stickers as well today." If his face wasn't permanently in a smile, he'd have more than likely a goofy grin on his face. It'd very well suit him too. He sat next to me, kicking his feet.

"Astrology? I didn't know you were interested in that."

"Yeah, I really enjoy the stars, sun, and moon. They make me happy and I think they can tell people a lot about themselves and the world around us. You're the exact impicture of the Sun. I feel people take it all for granted." He placed his hand on mine and I smiled at him. I wanted to stay there longer but I knew we had to set up before the daycare opened officially. The children would come through the ball pit or enter through the doors and we had to be fully prepared for the morning chaos. Sliding my hand away disappointed the moment had to end, I slipped down the desk. I placed the books behind me so that the kids couldn't get to them until story time. Sun plopped down, skipping ahead of me. I couldn't wait until I read to everyone.

Eventually, time came and went. Morning passed and so did reading time until everyone was put down to rest. Sun left first because he feared the dark and I left to find him again when the daycare attendant who watches the kids during nap time arrived. As I roamed the halls in search for Sun, I kept thinking about everyone's faces. They picked the Astrology book Sun mentioned earlier and they were just as curious about it as I was when I was a kid. Everyone stated their birthday and I explained what sign they were and so forth. I couldn't help but wonder what Sun's birthday was if he even had one. We've never had any birthday parties in the daycare so it was never a topic brought up between us. I decided upon asking him when I saw him.

I strode up the stairs into sun's room. There he was all alone working on a drawing, shifting his feet in the air.

"Sun, I have to ask you something," I stopped when Sun shot up, shoving the drawing to the side.

"OH, (Y/N)!" His sunrays moved as he fumbled over his next words, "I didn't- I didn't see you there! What do you need? I can help you with anything! Do you need help?" I could tell he was anxious. it was obvious I caught him doing something he didn't want to share. I contemplated for a minute whether or not I should bring it up but I resolved that I should ask him what I had been wanting to ask him before I arrived. I took a seat on the little teal stool in his room.

"Well, Sun I was wondering... Do you have a birthday? I know you're an animatronic and all."

"It's rather complicated" I watched him relax and settle down beside me on the ground. I let him change the subject. The topic seemed sensitive and I didn't want to bring harm to my friend by bringing up any painful memories. I couldn't stand hearing the pain in his voice. It seemed too realistic to just be programed and It never crossed my mind that he could or would lie. "Astrology is really interesting. I never knew such a thing existed! I finally found the perfect name for you! Starlight!" I could feel myself beam at the name. Sun always came up with names for the children but he couldn't ever decide a name for me. Sunshine, Sunflower, and many more names he has shifted throughout the years but never once did they feel natural to me or him. Being his Starlight, It meant... everything to me for some reason. He was a really good friend. "Starlight, why don't we draw?" Hearing his voice call me starlight made my heart skip a beat.

I nodded and stood up, getting the paper. He had already sat down with the crayons and pens. I handed him half the paper. I begin to draw and got lost in thought. Instinctively I reached out and grabbed his hand. His hand is warm. At times it was hard to think enough to even draw. We always held hands but over time it became hard to think when we do. Things were peaceful and reasonably quiet. Something that was hard to get when you worked with kids. Sun hummed to himself. I glanced at him consistently as I sketched out a scene of him drawing, paying attention to the details in his face plate and clothes.

"Why are ya staring at me? Is there glitter glue on my face? Googly eyes?"

I shook my head, laughing, "No, I'm just drawing you, dear. Your design is so fun." He stayed quiet and leaned over. I let him watch over my shoulder until I was finished. By the time I was done sketching him, it was time for the kids to wake up and go back to work. I left the drawing in Sun's room.

Daytime passed and night time came. The kids had all left. The mall would begin to close soon and we only had so much time to clean up. Some of the kids placed stickers everywhere and there was much to scrub up and disinfect. His cheeks and sunrays were covered in stickers. As cute as they were on him, It was time to clean them off. After cleaning up and spending several minutes scrubbing the stickers off the play places and ground, It was time to clean off the stickers covering Sun. I sat down in one of the plastic chairs, gesturing below me. I watched him skip over and sit down. I begun to gently scrub the stickers off his face and sunrays. A low purr seemed to emanate from him.

"I like your sunrays. They're cute." I could feel them heat up but I shrugged it off. "Hey, Can I call you the Latin word for Sun? It should suit you well" He nodded his head and I smiled, "Thank you Solis."
