Amethyst's P.O.V

I looked at the whiteboard, examined the notes that I should taking down. Mrs. Donald's quick, scribbled writing made

no sense at all. I wrote what I could make out until the bell rang for recess. "Don't forget your homework. Complete your

science projects by next week!" She yelled, making sure the students who where already out the door had heard her.

"Miss Brown, a moment please" she motioned for me to sit down again, looking at me through those think glasses she

always wore. What now.

"You haven't been focusing in my classes.

I've spoken to your other teachers regarding this and they also believe you are not paying attention"

I cleared my throat before speaking, "well I've had a lot on my mind," I nervously played with my hands. She began to

carry on, "I have arranged for you to see the school counsellor. I know you have been very stressed out, I believe you

should talk to someone about it"

I glared at her. "That wasn't your call to make" I said in a small voice. She looked taken back. "I am your teacher,

Amethyst. It is my job to care for my students. Please go to the appointment. It's right after school" she held out the

appointment slip. I looked at the slip then back at her, then took it and put it in the pocket of her jeans. Mrs. Donald

sighed and then smiled one of her sympathetic smiles. I took my bag and left the room, knowing she was watching me.
