Hey guys! Sorry I haven't been updating that much, I've been having testing in school and I'm in for three whole days of testing this week! (Good thing I'm writing this at 2am instead of getting the rest I need to do well on the test) I will try to write more once testing is over (so like 2 or 3 days?) Or maybe even just shorter chapters. Thank you all again for reading!
----------------------------------------------Luci and Bobby were now about a year old. They were staring to sit up, to crawl, and to talk in gibberish.
"I remember when Mary started talking," Dean said one day as he walked past Sam, who had Bobby sitting in his lap. "Do you remember what her first word was?" Sam asked. Dean furrowed his eyebrows, trying to think. "Mmmm...not sure. Lemme ask Cas."
As if on cue the angel walked into the room. Dean took a few steps backwards so he was standing next to him and slung an arm around his shoulder. "Hey baby, do you remember Mary's first word?"
Castiel blushed a deep red before replying, "it was dad. Well, 'dah' to be specific."
"Oh yeah!" Dean said and Sam smiled. It seemed only yesterday his neice was a baby around the same age as his sons, and now she was a in year eleven. (Sophmore year of high school)
Cas grinned as Mary came into the room. Her hair had gotten really long so she wore it in a long braid down her back. "I heard my name," she smiled, "what's up?"
"Just talkin' about your first words," Dean answered, sitting in a chair across from Sam. Castiel and Mary followed his lead, sitting on either side of him. They all suddenly heard a snap of fingers and Gabriel appeared, sitting on Sam's lap. Sam blushed and shoved the archangel off of him. "Gabe!" He exclaimed, scooting the wooden dining chair further away from his husband, "not in front of the twins!"
"Samwich! What? I was just sitting on your lap," Gabriel protested, muttering under his breath. Sam and Dean rolled their eyes at the same time, which their husbands thought was adorable. "So has Bobby or Luci said anything yet?" Mary asked. Sam shook his head.
"Maybe if we keep repeating one word one of them will pick it up," Gabriel suggested, "I read somewhere that babies are like parrots." He was met with four confused stares and he sighed. "Nevermind," he half-smiled. "No, that could work," Sam said and started saying "dad" over and over. Soon the whole table was chanting the word and Bobby and Luci were trying to articulate the sounds.
"Deh...dah..." Bobby struggled. After a few minutes he finally got it. "Dad-deh!" Dean clapped his hand together and Mary put her hands under her chin cheering, "cute!"
"Now Luci's turn!" Gabriel smiled and they did the same thing for the other twin. Luci was quieter, not really making an effort to say the words being chanted at him.
"You can do it Luci," Mary smiled. Luci balled his little hands into fists. "Da...ba...bl...ooo," he scrunched up his face and finally said, "ud...bl...blood!"
Five stares penetrated him and the baby boy began to cry. Sam quickly took him in his arms and cradled him, rocking him back and forth. Sam's face was as pale as a ghost and Gabriel's gaze was panic-stricken. Dean and Mary's mouths were hanging open and Castiel said slowly, "I don't think Lucifer and Crowley only influenced our son by having us name him after them."
A long silence followed before Gabriel spoke up. "I'm sure it's just a side affect of seeing Satan right after birth."
"Yeah," Sam agreed, definetely no confidence in his tone, "that's probably it." He chuckled nervously but continued to rock a more calmer Luci in his arms, "he's fine."
