First Avenger Mission

                                    

                                          
During the night, you had a nightmare again and woke up in a panic throwing yourself off the bed with a scream. Daisy tried calming you down by coming and licking your face, but you were in too deep. Steve and Bucky came running into the room, followed by Sam as you backed yourself into a wall with Daisy still trying to calm you down. She turned and looked at them and growled menacingly while you continued to scream. 
"Y/N, you're okay" Steve called over. 
"Gotta wake up doll" Bucky tried to inch closer, but Daisy bared her teeth before turning her back and licking your face again. 
"Come on girl, wake up" Sam called. Daisy jumped up on your legs and barked at you, and you started coming around. She went back to licking your face and you started crying. 
"Y/N, wake up doll" Steve tried inching closer, but Daisy would start to growl at them as they got closer. 
"Daisy, its okay" you sniffed. "I'm awake" you finally wiped at your face. "I'm sorry I woke anyone up" you kept in the dark corner. 
"Girl, you have a pair of lungs on you" Sam went and turned on the light. Your face was puffy and red, and they could see that you had scratched up your arms a bit. You pulled Daisy closer to you as you let out a hiccup. 
"Are you okay?" Bucky spoke gently coming closer. 
"I'm fine" you nodded. "Its was just a memory. I'm used to it" 
"You don't look fine, want some water?" Sam asked gently while Steve went and grabbed the blanket off your bed and put it over you and Daisy. 
"Yes please" you nodded pulling the blanket in closer, feeling naked. You didn't like people seeing you cry. "I'll be okay, you guys don't have to stay" you wiped your face again trying to get the memory to leave you alone. 
"We will stay for a bit, it normally helps us too" Steve took a spot along the wall beside you, and Bucky leaned against the end of your bed facing you. Sam came back quickly with a bottle of water and sat beside Bucky. 
"Have you ever talked to someone about it?" Sam asked gently. 
"That's showing weakness, according to pops. No, I've only talked about it once to him when I was eight" you shook your head. 
"Talking can help" Steve spoke softly. 
"I'll be fine, I'm used to this" you shook your head. 
"What helps?" Bucky asked gently. 
"I go work out" you looked at your watch and saw that you had busted some of the stitches when you threw yourself off the bed. A little bit of blood was oozing down your arm. "Should have gone in the regeneration machine" you chided yourself. 
"Let me take care of that" Steve got up and went to his room and was back a few minutes later with a first aid kit. When he got closer Daisy let out a small growl, but you shushed her. Steve started cleaning up your arm and put on some butterfly stitches for you. 
"Thanks" you gave a small smile as he put gauze over the knife wound. You didn't think it would still bleed after a week, but you had thrown yourself pretty hard. You were trying to run away from the demons in your dreams. 
"It's a bit early for a work out" Sam watched as Steve put away the garbage before putting the med kit back in his room. 
"It's around the time I usually go" you shrugged, pulling Daisy close. She licked your face again. "Good girl Daisy" 
"Why don't you try to get a little more sleep?" Bucky asked. "You'll be okay. You need your rest for the mission" 
You shook your head and tried to focus on something in front of you. You chose the lamp that was beside your bed. 
"Come on baby girl, back to bed for a bit" Sam stood up and offered his hand. "You need it" 
"Fine" you gave in and stood up as Daisy jumped down and went and got back up on the bed waiting for you expectantly. You kept the blanket wrapped around you and got back into bed. 
"We are here if you need us" Bucky reminded you before following Sam and Steve out. He looked over briefly before shutting off the light for you. It took you a long time, but eventually you fell back to sleep. 
                          
You woke up with only half an hour to get ready for the mission, take Daisy out, and get to breakfast. You were surprised you had slept in so long, it wasn't like you. You dashed out of bed and ran to your closet to grab your new uniform and had to take a moment to really look at it. It was going to be skin tight, unlike your normal uniform which was baggier. You slipped on your undergarments and slipped into the suit with ease, looking down it left nothing to the imagination. There was a deep V where your breasts were and you frowned a bit. You found the boots that went with it to match and slipped them on before running to the bathroom to do your hair, teeth and makeup as hurriedly as you possibly could. You put your hair into a braid and let to just fall down your back. You did make sure that you still had a good cats eye and light shimmer to your eyelids before adding your lipstick. You checked the time and only had ten minutes left. 
"Come on Daisy" you called to her, running out the balcony door and rushing down the stairs. You checked your watch as she went for her morning pee then hurried her back up the stairs. You took the living room balcony door and rushed into the dining room seeing you were the last one and slid into your chair. "Sorry" you saw Tony look at you curiously. 
"You still had a minute" he chuckled while Bucky passed you some food. 
"I slept in, Daisy needs more pee time later" you looked to Steve. You were panting a bit from your rush. 
"Did you sleep better after your nightmare?" Sam asked worriedly. 
"I did, a little too well" you nodded. "Thanks for checking on me" 
"We could hear you on the upper floors" Pietro looked at you. "We were worried" 
"I'm fine" you started eating quickly, wanting out of this conversation. 
"We were just discussing the mission, you sure your ready for it?" Tony smiled.
"Born ready for missions, they are my jam" you smiled. "It's a little overkill to send in three people" 
"It works better this way" Bucky gave you a small flirty smile. 
"I'll be taking you to get geared up when your done eating" Nat gave a soft smile. "You forgot your holsters this morning" she pointed out. 
"Shit" you went to stand up, and saw the look Tony gave you and sat back down. 
"You can go after you eat" Pepper gave a soft smile. "Its hard to remember everything when you've had a rough night" 
"The suit looks good on you" Bruce pointed out. 
"Its tight, and revealing" you grimaced. 
"I'm not complaining" Bucky whispered to you, looking at you with hooded eyes. 
"Listen handsome, stop being distracting. I'm in the middle of pouting" you spoke without thinking. "I'm not used to my ass or breasts being on display" You saw Steve flush and chuckle while Wanda and Nat giggled to themselves. "Why can't I just wear my black outfit I had at Shield?" you started ranting. 
"That material is easier to move in, it also is resistant to tears or cuts unless it's a really sharp knife. Its kind of like an armor for you" Tony advised quickly. 
"It isn't protecting my chest" you pointed out. 
"Its too restrictive if its up any higher" Nat smiled at you. "Besides, its sexier" 
"There's nothing about me that's sexy" you shook your head. 
"Agree to disagree" Bucky whispered to you. You tried to glare at him, but saw him grin at you and lost pathetically. 
"Is that why you won't wear a bikini?" Wanda asked curiously. "Because you think that way" 
"Maria has a big mouth" you took a bite of your food. "Nobody, and I mean nobody wants to see that" 
"Who hurt you kitten?" Loki scoffed a bit. 
"I will scratch you" you glared at him. "The list is too big. I wore one, once" you finally gave in remembering the one time you dared to try. Your boyfriend at the time had laughed and announced you were too big and ugly to try to be sexy and broke up with you immediately. You had been only 18 at the time, and had spent your money from working at Shield on a nice bikini. You had just moved out of your fathers house, and were trying to find your own way in life. Wanda's eyes went red for a moment and she looked livid. 
"You didn't deserve that" Wanda spat out. "A woman can be sexy no matter her size or what she looks like!" she added for good measure looking livid still. 
"I did, and I don't want to talk about it" you flushed and looked down. You saw a few people look at you curiously, but Wanda went back to stabbing her food into her mouth. "Its going to take some getting used to having you be able to read my mind" 
"I can do it too" Loki grinned. 
"Please don't" you sighed finishing your breakfast and giving Daisy some toast. 
"It's a bit late for that" he looked at you curiously seeming to study you. You tried to make your mind blank as possible, putting up a mental wall. "Does he still work for Shield? I'd love to have a chat with him on how he spoke to our kitten"
"I'm not talking about this" you got up and put your plate in the sink. "I need to gear up" you walked out.
