"You were there when I needed someone, to call my girl. And now you're my reality and I wanna feel you close."
. . .
My hair is swept away from my neck, and soft kisses are pressed there. A blush covers my cheeks and a giggle escapes me.
We're sitting on the couch, me reading a book while Nicholas is working on his laptop. It's now that he's moved closer to me and is softly caressing my shoulders with his fingers.
"Go on a date with me," Nicholas murmurs, continuing to press soft kisses on my neck.
"I'd love to," I smile, "when?"
"Now, this evening. Tomorrow, I don't care," he answers and presses another kiss on my cheek.
"Shouldn't we have done what we did this morning, after the date?"
"We were never ordinary anyway."
"True," I agree and turn around, putting my focus on him. "Let's go out tonight," I tell him. He sends me a charming smile.
"Perfect."
We've been having a lazy Sunday, but I'm enjoying every second of it. This has been one of the best weekends I've had so far, and I can only wish for more of these.
My phone lights up on the screen, and my heart drops when I see Dylan's caller ID appear.
Not a good timing.
"Nicholas!" I gasp when he takes my phone. He stands up and looks down at me, an unreadable look in his eyes.
He picks up.
"Yes?" he asks, with all his confidence as if he's picking up a call meant for him.
He doesn't put the phone on speaker, leaving me in suspense of what Dylan's reaction is or what he's saying.
"Who's asking?" Nicholas asks and leans against the doorway, relaxed and confident.
"Hmm, I see. Well, Fallon is not available at the moment," he continues and throws me a side-glance.
"You don't need to worry about who I am," Nicholas assures, clenching his jaw. "Now, have a good day."
He hangs up the phone.
"What did he say?" I chuckle when Nicholas places my phone back on the table. "He wanted to know who I was. Was confused as fuck."
"He must've been," I laugh and put my head on his chest. "Are there other guys I need to worry about?" he asks me.
I shake my head. "No, don't worry."
As the evening arrives, Nicholas tells me he's going over to his apartment to pick up some clothing and prepare himself for our date.
With a long and lingering kiss at the door, I wave him out and then worry over my own choice of clothing for tonight.
The air has been cooling down lately, so I can't wear light and short clothing anymore.
Suddenly, I'm nervous about a date with Nicholas. Where is he taking me? This is all so last minute, and what if I don't prepare myself in a good way?
I decide to go for something casual. I can never go wrong with something like that.
