Chapter 4 - night shift

After the second day was pretty much over y/n had a conversation with Vanessa. The conversation was about the animatronics, how they were functioning and was there any glitching. Everything turned out to be fine, so Vanessa said they would be doing a night shift test. Y/n was a bit confused, but Vanessa explained that the night shift was pretty much late hour check up's on the animatronics. Y/n nodded and on the third day it began. Y/n thought about it for a moment, this would be the first thing she has done here that truly screams security guard to her, not that she was complaining taking things slow can be a good thing. The day went on normally, the animatronics being a little bit of a mess via the end of the party's but nothing was too bad. 


                          
"Hey Freddy are you okay"? Y/n asked, upon watching Freddy slowly walk to his room, he turned to look at y/n. "Yes I am quite alright y/n are you okay? You seemed a bit distracted and on edge. Is something bothering you"? She sighed, "well um...it's my third day here and I'm doing a night shift. Vanessa wants me to record everything that happens this night to determine if I can be relied on". Freddy's ears shot up, "that's great news! Your getting better at your job every day"! She laughed, "thanks, but it just feels like a lot of pressure, and I don't work well under pressure". Freddy took a knee and looked at her, "y/n I think your wonderful at your job, you'll be fine no matter what". Y/n was a bit shocked, she knew the animatronics could have emotions but it felt weird hearing Freddy say something like that to her. 

                          
I really don't deserve it, I've many screws ups. I'm not some goddess to be worshipped.

                          
"T-thank you Freddy anyway you should probably go back too your room". Freddy nodded and before he could leave Monty jumped right down in front of him. "Yo What's up y/n"? Y/n rolled her eyes and Freddy shook his head, though with a smile on his face. "Monty you can't control jumping in on people for one moment? You've been doing that all day. But in all seriousness you should stop doing that our endos wouldn't appreciate getting crushed by the force". Y/n looked surprised, "wait but I thought your endos could handle tons of punishment". Freddy shook his head and began to explain, "think of endos as bare skeletons, but for robots. You might think there really tough but there not that much harder than a skeleton of a human. The force that is needed to damage our endos could be down on just running that why we lightly jog and we try not to run to much". 

                          
Y/n nodded as monty rolled his eyes, "whatever, my endo isn't gonna be damaged to much by jumping on people. I'm not even jumping off from to high stuff". "Anyway, you guys need to head to your rooms, it's like 11pm I'll be watching over you guys tonight". Both nodded and headed back to their rooms, looking at the whole gang from a far y/n saw teenagers in them, and at times little kids. They all had their kinks and where they thrived the most, she saw them as a needed part to make up each other. Freddy kept everything in order, Monty was the muscle or the tough guy, Chica was the party girl always lighting up the mood and Roxy adding a more mature theme to them all. 

                          
They worked well off each other I could see how their gonna be a mess".

                          
After both Freddy and Month left, y/n got ready to start the night shift. Vanessa showed her where the flashlight was, and where the room she should take in after the night shift is almost done. There was 3 fazes, one was exploration, the security guard would have to look around the pizzaplex and search for any thing that may be wrong. In this faze the security bots can alert if there is a threat or a sudden change in anything. In other fazes they would work differently but still can help you if they spot an animatronic or anything else. Faze two was, structure, the security guard would be assigned to checking the structure, like if everything was still in place or not for the night. The security bots would help from time to time but they've been know to overwork very fast. And the last step seemed odd to y/n, she had to hide in an office and lock both the doors and watched all the cams to see what was up with the animatronics. Vanessa was unsettling vague about this part particularly, she just told y/n that they Ted to get restless. 


                          
Y/n started the first faze, looking around she didn't hear nor see anything, everything was fine until 12pm. When she looked at the animatronics room Monty was out, he went somewhere and as y/n was searching for him Freddy decided to get up as well but for a more "civilized" reason. He followed y/n and taped her shoulder she flipped back to see him, "y/n? Sorry I didn't mean to scare you". She sighed but nodded, "yeah I was looking for Monty have you've seen him"? Freddy shook his head, "no I have not. He does this all the time, leave and don't come back for a bit before heading off to recharge". "Wait so why are you up"? Freddy's ear flopped on down, "I...unfortunately have to find a change with my recharge station". "Why, I thought it was good". He shook his head again, "it was, but theirs a buzzing sound and it's...bothering me". 

                          
"Can I see"? Freddy stepped back, "no you should find Monty I am fine". Y/n shook her head, "Monty could wait besides I saw him just tip toe past us like 3 minutes ago. Oh and Monty stop hiding and come out"! A faint "damn it" could be heard as Monty stops hiding and comes out. "How'd you find me"? Y/n rolled her eyes, "siblings that's why. Anyway do you know if theirs a buzzing sound in your recharge station"? Monty shook his head, "no but that has happened to me before". Freddy nodded, "and it's happing to me now. Do you know a way to fix it"? Monty nodded, and left with Freddy. 

                          
Faze 2 started and it was really much of a faze, everything was the same. The security bots were cleaning up a mess and that was it. So on to faze 3, y/n went into her office and locked the doors and checked the cameras. Everyone was sleeping, Freddy was snoring loudly, "I never knew he snored or any of them could". Monty was sleeping soundly, Chica and Roxy weren't doing much. And at 1 pm y/n stopped recording and left for the day. 

                          
"Alright that wasn't so bad, though being stuck in an office isn't great. Anyway on to day 4"!
