I only blinked twice for things to change so suddenly. I had pulled apart from Shane and I could feel my lips were hot and felt as though they were a little swollen. Then I had blinked again and I saw him on the ground and Luke standing in between us. 
                          
If looks could kill then Shane would've been dead by now. 
                          
"What the fuck do you think you're doing?" Luke asked him.
                          
"Brother what are you doing?"
                          
"Stay the fuck away from her. You heard her decision already just leave her the fuck alone. " He said to him ignoring his question. 
                          
"I had asked you a question. And when I ask you a question I expect you, my beta and younger brother, to answer me." He said regaining his composure. 
                          
"I will only answer you just because your my alpha. I am here to protect my best friend and the delta of this pack from getting hurt anyway." He said to him without breaking eye contact.
                          
"What do you need to protect her from? She's physically fine if you failed to notice"
                          
"How about emotionally? Did you neglect to listen to her?" 
                          
No one moved a muscle at this moment. You can hear the wind move, rustling the trees and their branches not too far from us. My eyes kept switching between Shane and Luke. I couldn't help but look at these two who were frozen in time. 
                          
"Can you guys stop? Luke stop please. And Shane I gave you my answer, Can you not respect my decision?"
                          
Luke mumbled an apology under his breath. Shane just diverted his eyes towards the ground, refusing to look at me. 
                          
"Well if you refuse to answer my question Alpha then I will have to kindly ask you to leave. I don't intend on talking to you anymore about our bond. I will only talk to you about pack businesses." I said gesturing for him to go back to her. 
                          
His eyes quickly lifted from the floor and towards my direction. I knew he wanted to say so much more than he did earlier. But I refuse to let him toy with my heart. 
                          
"Sienna I respect your decision." he said quickly as he left. As he walked towards the tree line from where he came no too long ago I saw him pause. I thought for a moment he was going to turn around and come back. But he just stood there for a couple of seconds and then proceeded through the woods. 
                          
"Common Senn lets go inside. It's been a long day hasn't it?" Luke said putting his arm around my shoulders, leading me back into the house. 
                          
"Oh you have no idea huh?" I said elbowing him in the stomach.
                          
"Ouch do you have to always do that?" He said opening the door for me.
                          
"If you weren't so tall then my elbow wouldn't hit your stomach." I said as the scent of lavender and vanilla filled my senses. "Are you burning my new candle?" 
                          
"Maybe?"  
                          
Luke proceeded to play some music and we fell back into a comfortable silence as the music played in the background. I began to prepare a salad for the both of us eat for dinner. Luke was besides me cooking some chicken for our salad.
                          
 "Senn do you remember prom?" He asked me not taking his eyes off the pan.
                          
"Yeah why do you ask?" Prom was a fun night. We both decided to go together but instead of taking photos with a professional and taking a limo with our other friends, Luke drove us. We both ended up at a lake just 15 minutes away from where prom was taking place and just sat on the hood of his car talking and listening to music. Then he got off so suddenly and ask me for a dance. And once we got to prom we just danced our heart out and eventually ended up at the party at the pack house. I think I ended up home around 6 am just extremely tired and exhausted.
