Soumya did not understand how she was always roped into shopping trips like these even when she hated them. Today's consisted of picking up some things for the wedding and accompanying Ishi to her wedding lehenga fitting. That was the only reason she'd agreed.
She was currently wearing a black embroidered anarkali type dress with a slit. It had golden detail taking the neckline and skirt. She paired it with large traditional jhumkas and golden heels. Back in Mumbai she rarely got to wear traditional clothing due to work so she was gonna make the best of it. The car stopped in front of a certain shop and Ishi got out. Just as Soumya was about to follow, Ishi stopped her.

" Somi meh nahi chahti ki koi bhi mera lehnga dekhe, it's a surprise. Tu aise kar ki tu ja ke cafe meh mera wait kar, Shreya aur Vani waha hai. " She called out through the curtains of the dressing room. ( Somi, I don't want anyone to see my dress before the wedding, it's a surprise. Why don't you go to the cafe, Shreya and Vani will be there. )
" Kya! Meh sirf is hi liye aayi thi ki meh tumhara lehenga dekhu gi, aur tu mujhe bagha rahi hai. " Soumya spoke exasperated. ( What! I only came because I would get to see the lehenga and now your telling me to go. )
" Arre sab ke liye rules same hai. " ( The rules are the same for everybody. )
Soumya sighed. This was typical Ishi. She liked creating suspense for everything. She said a quick bye before heading away from the bridal store towards the cafe. It was in the nicer part of the city so it was a bit of a drive. She spotted Shiv and Shreya the second she walked in. They sat with 4 guys and were by far the largest group there.
" Hey guys, mind if I sit here. " She asked, pointing to one one of the empty seats. As she approached.
" Arre Soumya tum yaha, sit na. " Vani said surprised before coming up to hug her. ( Oh Soumya, you are here. Sit. )
" Ishi ke saat aaye thi, thodi last minute shopping. " She explained before moving on to hug Shreya. ( I came with Ishi for some last minute shopping. )
" To Ishi kaha hai? " Adi asked. ( So where is Ishi? )
" Sabar karo jija ji, woh ek fitting meh busy hai. 2 maheno baad to wo apke pas hi aaye gi hamesha ke liya. " She teased Adi. ( Have some patience jija ji. She's busy in a fitting. She will come to you forever in 2 months anyway. )
Everyone laughed as he blushed. She turned towards the other men.
" Soumya betho na meh sab se tumhe milvati hu. " Vani spoke. ( Soumya come sit, let me introduce you to everyone. )
