elena ended up getting another vision that revealed the address of where markos was.
damon and enzo went to the house to go investigate while the girl's stayed back.
markos had stopped their visions. caroline had found out there was a passenger inside of her mom and she went to be with her.
they also learned from bonnie and matt that the other side was falling apart.
may had gotten a call from damon that him and enzo had gotten into a fight which lead enzo to turn off his humanity.
while his humanity was off, he kidnapped elena and damon went to rescue her but stefan went after enzo.
may had finally found the two of them and she saw stefan was on the ground with gasoline on him while enzo held a lighter in his hand.
another thing may saw was stefan's hand in enzo's chest.
"stefan! let him go!" may said as enzo and stefan looked at her.
"you won't stop until you kill damon." stefan said looking at enzo.
"better yet, wouldn't it be a sweet piece of revenge when damon finds out you killed his best friend?" enzo asked as he closed the lighter.
"what are you talking about?" may asked.
"have fun sorting this out with your brother." enzo said looking at stefan.
and just like that, may watched as enzo pushed himself away from stefan and his heart was ripped out.
"no!" may cried out as she looked at the heart stefan held in his hand.
may ran over to enzo's side as she cried and stefan dropped his heart on the ground.
stefan didn't know how to react, he had no idea how he could help may.
"i never got the chance to tell him." may said as she cried.
"may..." stefan began but may cut him off.
"why, stefan! you knew how much he meant to me... how much he meant to damon." may said as she looked at enzo's corpse.
"you can't let damon find out about this. it would destroy him." stefan said as may got up angrily to look at him.
"and what about how i feel? huh? i..." may said as she looked down.
"may, i'm so sorry." stefan said.
"lexi and i stood by your side as you ripped heads off innocent people and enzo turns off his humanity and that ended in him being dead. how is that fair?" may said as stefan nodded.
"it isn't. but he's gone now and i need you to keep this from damon." stefan said as may chuckled sadly.
"i'll keep your secret stefan, but i cannot stand the sight of you right now." may said before she turned to look at enzo's corpse again.
"i can't believe i spent all this time searching for him and when i finally find him... he's gone again." may said as tears streamed down her face.
may walked away, leaving stefan to feel guilty for betraying his best friend.
may's heart felt like it was shattered into a million pieces.
