HER HANDS WOULDN'T STOP SHAKING as Y/N attempted to fit the key into the door of his apartment, her hair falling over her face.
Finally unlocking it, she quickly slipped inside, leaning against the door and praying that no one was home as a sob escaped her trembling lips, immediately covering her mouth as she balanced against the door to keep herself from falling apart.
Apparently, her crying had awoken the presence in the apartment, as she heard the padding of footsteps coming down the hall.
She quickly wiped any tears left on her cheeks as the dark hallway hid the rest of her distraught look as Eduardo came around the corner and stopped in his tracks as he saw the visitor, a surprising one but not unwanted. "Y/N?" He questioned tiredly, his voice gravely from a few hours without use. "What are you-"
"I'm sorry," she immediately apologized, her fingers rubbing her wrists, "I didn't know where to go, and this was the closest place, I didn't know what to do," she rambled quickly as she tried to stop her voice from shaking.
"Woah, hey, calm down. It's ok, you're welcome to come over whenever you need, that's why I gave you a key." He said with a light smile, taking a step closer to her.
"Don't!" Y/N breathes, trying to back up but the door blocks her way. Eduardo looks at her with a puzzled look, "Please," she begs, "just, don't come closer."
