A/N: my part time job has me hanging by the throat...and fuck work ! but at least im getting paid and i finallly have my own money :') anyways im sorry for the long wait as usual and i hope your holidays were great! i miss yall so much :< this is written really really badly im rly sorry in advance im in a huge frenzy rn bc my schedule is packed

i'm really sorry this story is becoming more rushed than i wanted it to be :(( but this year is gonna be super busy for me (it already is hhh) and i kinda wanna finish this quickly before everything piles up and i won't have time for it and forget about it

"you remember what i told you right? you guys are lookout. please keep your eyes peeled. Jake should be home by night so we don't have to worry, but I have no idea about jungwon. call me IMMEDIATELY if you see him," jay instructed, attempting to appear firm, but sunghoon and ni-ki could see clearly that he was nervous. the top of his forehead was beading with sweat.

sunghoon rolled his eyes, giving jay a nudge. "yeah yeah, don't worry, ni-ki's got a good view of the place and so do i. now GO."

"right, right. im going in."

and jay was gone.

ni-ki hopped out of the car with sunghoon once jay was out of sight. they walked towards the cafe just near the old apartment jungwon and jake stayed in, and decided to seat themselves at the table nearest to the window. they made a little scan of the place, it was a sort of run down cafe, definitely been around for a while. but it felt authentic. and god, the smell of coffee beans was insanely tempting.

there was a few people sitting at surrounding tables, but the only staff there were an elderly man and some other boy with pink hair behind the counter. sunghoon and ni-ki couldn't see him because he had his back turned, since he was cleaning some equipment in the sink.

"hello there, boys!" the elderly man chriped, quite lively for someone of his age. he pointed to the chalkboard hanging above the counter. "you can order any one of these drinks. have any idea what you might like? might i suggest the new drink our part-timer came up with. it's really good. i'll have him come over and explain it to you."

"thank you sir but it's really not necessary and-" sunghoon said but was caught off by the old man.

"woosung!" the old man called. "come here for a second please. i'll finish the washing up. explain your new drink to them. you'll get along with them, you're the same age as them."

the old man waddled away, for his presence to be replaced by a boy of somewhat average height (but extremely long legs and a very tiny waist). he was wearing just some high waisted jeans and had a black shirt tucked into it, and he was wearing a black mask.

"sorry about the mask," he began, not looking up from the spoon  he was wiping dry. "got a cold. anyways-"

"it's okay," sunghoon said kindly. "you don't need to explain it if you want."

woosung finally looked up, and right at sunghoon. "it's just some coffee long black style with some mint syrup, and a special mint whipped cream. garnished with mint leaves."
