Y/n's pov

"Are you sure this is a good idea, I mean Caitlyn knows him", I questioned as we hid around the corner where Jayce, one of the counselors and Caitlyn's best friend. "You think she would approve of us doing this", she asked looking back at me. "..No", I replied. "Besides this is the only way", she added moving her hands against the tools that were hanging on the rack making them swing slightly and make a little noise to gain Jayce's attention. Jayce turned away from the metal workbench to look back at us. He immediately glared at us as we approached him.

"You want to make Silco pay for what he's done", Vi asked, her hands in the pocket of her jacket. "I could have you both arrested", he replied causing me to let out a scoff.

"You guys really like to brandy that threat around", Vi commented walking moving to the side a bit. "You ever been to Stillwater", she asked. "No", Jayce answered causing her to scoff. "So you just wave an arm have someone dragged off, don't bother to find out what it does to someone being stuffed in a stone box for weeks, or months, or even years", she asked. Jayce's face softened a bit as he looked away.

"Yeah I want to make Silco pay", he sighed. "We want in", Vi replied. "There is no in", he scowled. "You heard the council", he added. "Fuck the Council", I commented. "You said you were tired of doing nothing", VI stated walking alongside his workbenches towards something. "That's the only sensible thing that came out of anyone's mouth tonight", she added stoping in front of some huge golden gauntlets.

"I'm not a vigilante", Jayce said. "No you're a victim", Vi corrected then began putting her hand into one of the gauntlets. The gauntlet let out a burst of steam while making clanking noises. A contagious smile grew on her face then she began lifting the gauntlet up into the air. Then closed the huge metal fist while bringing her arm down. The golden gauntlet gave off a blue sky glow. It was like the gauntlet was made for her. I codlin;t stop the smile forming on my face.

"This so people notice you when you raise your hand in the boardroom", she asked. "We built them for mining the fissures", Jayce stated. "Hmm", Vi hummed fisting humping the gauntlet against her hand.

"Someone close to me had a pair of these", she said, she's talking about Vander. "You're the first person Caitlyn looked for when we made it to Topside of everyone up here, you're the one she trusted to do something", Vi explained. Jayce shook his head and placed the hammer back down onto the work bench then pushed himself off it.

"What do you want me to do? Arrest him", he asked. "Silco controls the undercity with Shimmer", she explained placing her right foot on top of a box. "Shut down his supply, and it's only a matter of time before his own people turn on him", she explained. "And how do we do that", Jayce asked walking towards her. "Take out his manufacturing facilities", Vi answered. "Hit them hard and fast before ehe can react", she added. Jayce looked towards the huge smelter as he thought about her proposition. He has to accept, if not we're jacking those gauntlets and taking care of Silco and Zahir ourselves.

"So..we got a deal, pretty boy", she asked placing her elbow onto her knee holding up the gauntlet, with the palm open, waiting for his handshake. Jayce glanced at me then back at her.

"We have a deal", he replied, but refused to shake her hand just turned away from her heading back towards the workbench. "I'll gather some enforcers to help", he stated placing his hands on the workbench. "Just do what you need to do, and fast", Vi said moving her foot off the box heading back over to the table to grab the other gauntlet. Jayce nodded his head while turning back around to face us.

"You want me to make a new bow", he asked me, I just shook my head. "No I'm fine with this one", I replied. "Okay", he said nodding his head. "We'll meet you at one of the main facilities", Vi stated. "I'll meet you there", Jayce sighed. Vi walked past me to head for the entrance, I went to follow her, but stopped when he called my name.

"...I just want to say sorry for what happened to your home", Jayce admitted. I stopped and turned to look at him. His vision was all blurry, but I could see.

"Don't be, just fix it", I replied turning away to catch up with Vi again who was waiting for me at the exit. We left the boiler room trying to leave the councilor building quickly before we get caught. Vi was quiet along the whole way, I assumed it was because she didn't want us to get caught. When we made it back outside of the councilor building she finally decided to speak.

"..Will you do it", she asked. "Do what", I questioned. "Zahir, are you planning to kill him", she asked. "..I want to", I confessed. "But I also can't", I added. "You seem hellbent on trying to", she commented. "I did, but...", I began saying the faces of everyone who lived in that cave with me appeared in a flash, moving like a blur, but I saw each of their faces. Even if some were unrecognizable I knew each of their names.

"...I seen too much death already, I'm getting tired of it", I finished. "Why are you asking", I questioned stopping causing her to stop too. Vi let out a sigh rubbing the back of her neck with the gauntlet, I don't know how she did that with those huge ass gauntlets.

"He's your brother you know it's just messed up", she commented. "He's not my brot-", I went to say, but stopped. I hate Zahir. To the point I rather die than stand anywhere near him, but he's family.

"You're right, but I can't just forget all he's done", I fussed. "I know, but by taking Silco down he goes down with him", she stated. "..You're right", I admitted. "We're finally going to end all of this", She said placing the gauntlet onto my shoulder. "Vi if you don't take those off", I chuckled shaking my head. "What's wrong with them", she asked. "What's wrong? They're heavy", I answered pushing it off my shoulder with my hand. "Fine fine okay", she chuckled placing her right gauntlet onto the ground. The gauntlet made a steaming and clanking noise then she freed her hand out of it.

"There better", she asked placing her hand back onto my shoulder. "Yes better", I chuckled causing her to roll her eyes playfully. Her hand slithered up to the back of my head. Her bandaged fingers tangled in with my loss slightly as she pulled my head towards hers and placed her lips onto mine. I couldn't stop myself from smiling into the kiss she graced me with. I think her kisses are going to become one of my favorite things in the world. She broke the kiss, but kept her face close to mine. Her breath fanned over my lips , it was like we were still kissing, it was just without lips this times.

"We're going to stay together after this right", she asked. I don't know if it's too early to think this, but I think I know what love truly feels like now.

"I promise to watch your back didn't I", I smiled. "Yeah you did", she replied a smile on her face. She pulled away from me to put her hand back into the gauntlet. The gauntlet made a loud steaming noise again as she raised her fist into the air then back down slightly. "Ready to do this", she asked bawling her fist up. I pulled my bow off my shoulder gripping it.

"With you, always"
