When I returned back to my hideout, I laid down in my bed and fell asleep.
I woke back up with my computer blinking with an alert on the screen. I ignored it. I needed a break from the fighting. I wanted peace and quiet just for a little bit. I closed my computer and jumped in the shower after I checked to make sure no one had found where I was staying.
After the long, relaxing hot shower, I checked the alert. Turns out, I wasn't the only one who was causing a ton of trouble for the Titans. I pulled up a view of the bank on my computer. The Joker was paying a lovely visit. He was attempting to rob the bank of all its money. It was obvious he wasn't going to succeed, but I had a hunch that he wanted to be caught so he could unleash a bigger threat. It seemed like he wanted attention, or maybe a show. And the audience seemed to be any and every hero who was watching the fight between him and the Titans.
The fight was over in a few minutes. It ended with Beastboy turning into a snake and wrapping around the Joker. A small giggle escaped from me. Beastboy may be on the enemy team, but he was funny at times. It was sad that I had to hurt him back in the tower. But he was in the way, and if he wanted to be with Raven, he would go down with her.
Batman came into view of the scene with Beastboy wrapped around the Joker and the Titans watching. He handcuffed the Joker and dragged him away. I guess the Joker wasn't staying in this city.
A blast erupted from outside my hideout and I groaned a little. A day off from this hero or villain business would be great. I rushed over to the door and grabbed a cloak on my way out.
"Who is out here," I shouted. At first, I didn't get any response. But, Starfire's sister, Blackfire, flew into view, smiling widely.
"Good to see you too, partner," she replied. I gritted my teeth and got into a fighting position. My hands radiated with my power.
"Back from prison so soon Blackfire?"
"Oh, shut up. I never went. After you dropped me, I hit Starfire with a blackbolt and flew away. I've been following you ever since. I even saw your encounter with Catwoman. And saw you run out of TitansTower."
"Stalker much? You know how creepy it is to be followed around by someone. Seriously Blackfire, I could send you to jail just for stalking me."
"You're one to talk. Raven could do the same exact thing to you. Its obvious you follow her every move," Blackfire replied while landing on the ground.
"Before I'm forced to hurt you, then throw you into TitansTower with a little hate letter to Raven, can I know why you're here?"
"Why yes, of course you can. I'm here to join you. To form a team to take out the Titans. I already have another member."
"What makes you think I want to join up with you," I snarled at her.
'Well, you get to kill Raven. I get to kill Starfire. Its a win win situation."
"Fair enough. Who's this other member?"
"Oh, just me. Someone who wants to kill Robin, so I can prove I'm better then him to Batman," a new voice said while someone appeared from the shadows. She was in a different costume, very different then her usually one. She wore a tight black suit like Catwoman's, a black mask that covered her eyes, a solid violet bat went across her chest, and a utility belt hung across her waist.
"Batgirl, seriously? You want to kill Robin," I said, forcing myself not to laugh. Based off the expression from her face, she didn't like my comment. "Right," I coughed a little. "Anyway, though I don't doubt your strength, and I know you're equally matched to who you want to kill, three of us aren't strong enough to take on the Titans."
"Then how were you planning to kill Raven," Batgirl shot back.
"Oh. Simple. Single her out, then hit her weak spots emotionally. While she was having trouble with her emotions and focusing, I would appear behind her and stab her in the back," I replied.
Not even trying to stop herself, Batgirl laughed at me. "Do you even know her emotional weakness?"
"No." I cursed myself for that. I should have thought that plan through a little bit more. If I was right, then Raven has changed a lot, meaning her weaknesses have as well.
"Right. Which is why we're here to help you. And I know another member that we could get," Blackfire chipped in.
"Fine. We can be a team, but after we kill them, we're done. Got it," I said to both of them. They nodded in agreement. "Good. Now, whose this other person?"
Blackfire got a wicked smile on her face. She didn't say anything, she just motioned for me to follow her. I did as she wanted. We went to an abandoned building that was nearly destroyed on the inside. A giant hole was in the floor, and for some odd reason, Blackfire flew down it. I gave Batgirl a what's going on? look, but she just shrugged and jumped down. I rolled my eyes and followed.
The giant hole led to a giant underground tunnel. Blackfire used her power to light it up and kept walking. Batgirl and I stayed at Blackfire's pace until we reached a statue. The statue was of a girl whose hair was blown back, arms wide open, and a concentrated mixed with angry look on her face. Fresh roses were at her feet. She stood on top of a memorial dedicated to her.
"Is this," Batgirl started to say.
"Yes it is," Blackfire replied.
"Its Terra," I whispered. Right then, somehow I knew that this was going to end in victory for us, or a miserable defeat that would tare most of us apart. My only wish was that it wouldn't be the latter.
