Five Months Later

"Camilo, time for breakfast," Pepa yelled from the kitchen. Silently, I get up and go to the door. Opening the door a crack, I yell "I'm not hungry." I shut the door and go back to my bed and sit back down. The door opens and Felix comes in.

"You know, if you don't eat then you might just starve," Felix says to me as he stands in the doorway.

"I don't care if I do," I say. I turn myself so my back faces him.

"You've been morning for your si- ... cousin for five months now. She would want you to live your life and not lock yourself in your room." Felix said. He was right but my problem went beyond just her death. The photo had caused me to realize something.

"You mean my sister, right?" I retorted and looked at him to start glaring. We look at each other silently, him in shock and myself just infuriated.

"How did you know that, Camilo?" he voice staggered as he asked.

I looked away from him and answer. "I found a photo in the rubble."

"So that's the reason you're taking this so hard... you've known that long." Felix mumbled under his breath with his voice barely audible. "If that's the case wouldn't you know for sure if she survived or not?" I look at him questioningly as he continues talking. "After all, you were twins."
