The Middle School Tournament Takeover!

                                    

                                          
Platinum's POV
                          
I woke up early for school. It was the day after the cookout, and I was trying not to let my battle with Robert bother me.
                          
"Platinum are you up?" I heard my dad yell.
                          
"Yeah!" I yelled back.
                          
I began getting dressed as well as washing my face and brushing my teeth. My middle school's tournament was tomorrow and after yesterday I'm more determined than ever to win it. 
                          
I grabbed my two Poké Balls and headed downstairs and saw my dad playing with Jolteon.
                          
"Your mom left for work already, you wanna take the bus or do you want me to take you to school?" My dad asked.
                          
"I can take the bus." I said grabbing an apple.
                          
"Alright. Oh! And make sure you train with Phanpy since you plan on using it during the tournament-" My dad started.
                          
"I know dad! Gosh! I got it!" I said as I walked out the front door and waited for the bus.
                          
I don't know why I was so frustrated with my dad... I just was.
                          
After a while of waiting the yellow school bus came to the bus stop and the doors opened. I walked inside and found Nick and Nathan and decided to sit with them, like usual.
                          
"Hey Platinum." Nick spoke.
                          
"Sup dude." Said Nathan.
                          
"Hey guys." I responded.
                          
The bus began moving again and we started going to the school.
                          
"How was that cookout thing yesterday?" Nathan asked.
                          
"Oh yeah I forgot about that. Did you meet any new kids?" Nick said.
                          
"Good battle. Next time let's finish it."
                          
Robert's words rang through my head again.
                          
"O-Oh right. Man let me tell you guys what a bunch of losers they were!" I lied with fake pride.
                          
"Woah, seriously?" Said Nick.
                          
"Yup. I battled one of them. He had an Axew but Eevee beat him in just 1 attack." I continued my lies. It was almost like it made me feel better about the whole thing.
                          
"Man no one can beat you Platinum." Nathan said.
                          
"That's right! Oh and look at this guys." I said as I got out Phanpy's Poké Ball and opened it up.
                          
"Phan!" Phanpy said as he appeared from the Poké Ball.
                          
"No way! You caught another Pokémon!" Said Nathan.
                          
"Sure did. It was easy." I said with pride.
                          
"This tournament is going to be so awesome! I can't wait!" Said Nick.
                          
We soon neared the school. We got off of the bus and walked into the building.
                          
"Hi guys!" We heard Amanda say as she joined us.
                          
"Hey." Said Nathan.
                          
"Hi Amanda." Said Nick.
                          
"Sup." I spoke.
                          
"Hi Platinum." Amanda said as her cheeks turned a tint of pink. "How was your cookout yesterday?"
                          
I yawned.
