Birthday Celebration
Being the strongest wasn't easy.
Levi Ackerman knew that better than anyone.
For years, all Levi could do was watch as the people that surrounded him die. One by one, his family died. One by one, his comrades died.
What was the point of being the strongest in battle if all Levi could do was live while everyone else died?
Because every single time, after each expedition outside the walls, half the members of the Survey Corps would fall victim to the horrors of the Titans that roamed the Earth. But after each expedition, after each failure, Levi Ackerman was surely the only one left standing.
Though he didn't show it, the responsibility of being the strongest left a huge burden on his shoulders. Waking up was a hard task for him to do because once he was up, he wasn't just himself. He was Captain Levi, Humanity's Strongest.
Sometimes Levi was left wondering, did he deserve to stay alive while his comrades died?
He was a man of no regrets but it didn't mean that thoughts like that didn't venture their way into his mind. But he hid it from everyone, even you.
Only that proved to be useless because something about you always caused him to open up. Or rather, you always managed to see right through him.
You met Levi Ackerman when he first came to Trost District. It was only within the first month of his arrival on the surface.
Given, he was only there under the intention of receiving a certain document in addition to killing Squad Leader Erwin Smith of the Survey Corps. But when he, Isabel, and Furlan were walking through the market of Trost District, he found a shop that sold something he greatly appreciated; tea.
That was where he met you.
Just a normal civilian who happened to have an equal amount of passion for tea. It was your grandfather's shop before he passed away.
After his demise, you took over the store since it was you who shared his love for the beverage. Normally, you don't get to see many soldiers in town. Especially Scouts.
