Venice Adams

I look over at Liam as he drives in the direction of his house, he looks tired and I knew he was since he hasn't been to sleep at all, he was out doing god knows what, and when he came back he took me to get ice cream.

Which went horribly, I don't know what got into Jason, I don't know what got into either of them, of course, Jason did not have to bump into Liam and say... what he did.

And Liam didn't have to hit him as he did, but to be fair Jason did kind of deserve it, he was acting like an asshole and I'm going to need to talk to him about that on Monday.

A yawn escapes my mouth as I finish up my ice cream and set it down beside the both of us, I wanted to say something but my mouth stayed shut watching him as he leaned back in his seat with one hand on the wheel driving smoothly.

He was still dressed in his clothes from yesterday and I knew he needed to shower, he had Jason's blood all over him and he had a cut on his lip which I would be lying if I said he didn't look totally hot right now.

What the fuck Venice?

I sigh. "I'm sorry, Liam." I apologize, I freaked out on him and blamed him for the whole thing even though Jason started it, he wanted to pick a fight with Liam and I'm starting to believe what Gracie told me was true but I was hoping it wasn't, I only see Jason as a friend... nothing more.

I didn't want things to be weird between me and Liam because I kind of liked having him around despite the things he does, hell I saw him shoot my dad in the foot. "What did I tell you about that?" He asks and I sigh.

"But you just apologized to me," I say as I look up at him.

"Because I can't help it, I don't want you scared of me, I have enough people who are. And I don't like you apologizing to me over nothing." He finishes his sentence.

That's probably the most I've heard him speak in one sentence.

"I'm not scared of you Liam... I just don't like to see you like that, that's what scared me and I don't want to see it again." I say referring to him almost killing Jason with his fists.

"You know I can't promise that... This is who I am Venice, danger follows me like a shadow, you should know that."

I do know it, but my brain won't accept it, I know Liam is a good person and he has a good heart but he keeps trying to convince me that he isn't and I won't accept it.

I don't reply, I just lay my head on the window and watch as he continues to drive towards his house, when he finally reaches it we drive through the gate and around back into his garage.

Of course, he gets out before jogging over to my end of the car and opens the door for me and I thank him and smile before walking in front of him into the house which was quiet as everyone else was asleep.
